La Roche posay effaclar gel cleanser and the effaclar duo plus, only 2 products that have cleared my skin, I’ve tried everything under the sun and went back to basics with these 2 products and my skin cleared up in a week. There’s a little pack you can get from chemist warehouse for like $10 to try, also the eco tan face water is amazing for a toner and a tiny bit of colour

Estée Lauder night repair serum is the best product I’ve ever used. It’s a bit ££ but sooo worth it. I get bad breakouts all the time especially on my cheeks, chin and jaw line. I was using it sparingly but now I use it twice a day everyday after toner but before moisturiser and my skin has never been better! Also, The Ordinary BHA AHA red mask is so good for exfoliation I’d recommend! For SPF, the Bondi Sands face SPF is soo good, not greasy or heavy and fragrance free so doesn’t break me out!
@SamanthiW123453 жыл бұрын
In terms of general skincare products: exfoliation/pigmentation (Paula's choice 2% BHA toner or Ole Henriksen Glow2OH toner, Retinol - start with a low concentration I liked the ordinary one, and then when youre used to it increase to 1% and I like the Paula's Choice one for that, be mindful you'll experience some peeling and skin purging at first with retinol, DermaE Scar gel is insane for fresh scars and I like their brightening cream too, Paula's Choice Vitamin C), hydration (the ordinary hyaluronic acid and any of their oils), sunscreen (MECCA to save face gives you an amazing glow and is 50+)

okay so if you need a really nice face mask, one that is just so nice and really works i swear and live by the beauty glam rose clay mask from chemist warehouse!! it’s like $12 but it’s my go-to for acne! it’s helped to reduce my acne so much, helps with redness, texture and makes your skin so glowly! i leave it on for 30 minutes and do it 2 times a week! it doesn’t dry out your skin and i have quite sensitive skin so this is just amazing!

For skincare, i do a double cleanse (SWEAR by this, things its changed the game) using the Pond cold cream make up remover (second tub and lasts forever) , then franks body salicylic acid cleaner (on my third bottle and my skin LOVES it and it doesnt strip) i chemically exfoliate 2-3 times/week with either the Paulas choice 2% BHA (second bottle) or the ordinary lactic acid depending on what my skin needs. For serums I use the ordinary Hyaluronic acid and the inkey list naiacinamide (although usually use the ordinary one). Im also a HUGE fan of the BENZAC AC Benzoyl Peroxide cream (literally used this since I was a teenager and its super easy to get hold of) tend to use 5% more often and 10% for really bad breakouts I cant get rid of. I have really sensitive combo skin which is prone to breakouts/acne and this routine has been saving my skin and its been the best ive seen it in YEARS!!! Sorry, this is kind of a brain dump :) Currently looking at adding a vitamin c or rentinol/backinol (dont know how to spell it) but super careful about how/when I add new steps/actives

Hey Rachel! Skincare products I'd recommend is the Benzac AC Wash 5% every night, Azclear Medicated Lotion as a spot treatment (you can purchase this at Chemist Warehouse), Differin Adapalene which is a prescription retinoid, a gentle cleanser and moisturiser suitable to your skin type (I like the Cetaphil Moisturising Cream and Cerave Hydrating Face Wash because my skin is normal/dry), La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF 50+ and Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50+ sunscreen for during the day :)

my fav brand is simple, you can actually buy it at coles but they are amazing for sensitive skin and i have used it for ever and has only done wonders for my skin, i have never really had a real breakout and or anything and it has kept my skin glowing! i use the moisturizing face wash, the light moisturizer then the toner every once in a while :) hope that helps!

I love the mecca sunscreen! Super lightweight, has a pinky undertone so it doesn't give your skin a white cast and sits beautifully under makeup! As for makeup my faves at the minute are the Charlotte Tilburry flawless filter (gives your skin a stunning glow), the mecca duo cream blush and highlighter is stunning and anything from the brand Kosas (which you can find from Mecca)!

skincare you MUST MUST TRY (all from chemist warehouse) SUKIN SUPER GREENS SERUM (creamy and milky, reminds me of the mylk serums from esmi, but so much better and WAY more affordable) (also looks incredible under makeup, it just sits so well when i use this) CERAVE DAILY MOISTURISER CERAVE FOAMING CLEANSER when i run out i can tell because my skin changes dramatically, it just feels so balanced with these products. They are the only 3 things i use! MAKEUP: the mecca off duty blush and contour sticks!!! so affordable and look like skin

I tried Paulas choice a few weeks ago and OMG I have never experienced my skin this clear and healthy in a long time. I would say my skin is similar to yours, lots of acne scarring but clear in some parts. I use the pore normalising cleanser, toner with nincinamide the clear moisturiser and absolutely best product- BHA 2% chemical exfoliant (I think that's what it's called?... it has salicic acid in it) I don't use all the products every day, maybe the exfoliant every 3 or so days. I think it's important to give your skin a break especially if your not wearing make-up. But please try!! I've been in the same boat for years with my skin and this is the only brand I've actually seen a difference with in such a short time.

for sunscreen i can’t recommend the la roche posay anthelios sunscreen (in the shaker bottle) but any of the la roche posay sunscreens are amazing - just find the one that suits your skin type! it doesn’t leave a white cast at all - it isn’t oily and blends into the skin suuuper nicely! i think this one has won me over other ones because of its price point (its $20 at chemist warehouse atm!) and because of the amount of sunscreen that you need to wear daily i think this is the best option! i love it because there’s no fragrance in it too and has never broken out my super sensitive skin! x

Alya skin clay mask! Bit pricey, but it’s one of the best out there! It leaves your skin so soft, glowy and it calms down any redness and with frequent use it also flattens bumps and active breakouts! I love it! I have the whole bundle of theirs and I also swear by the foaming cleanser but every product is honestly amazing!

skincare recommendation - Mecca cosmetica have the best SPF! I've used it since I was 17 (now almost 22) and I swear by it! As for makeup, maybelline have some amazing cream blushes but so do Mecca max, they're pretty affordable and easy to work with and they have cream bronzers too! I only buy my foundations from Mecca because most drugstore ones don't go fair enough for my skin tone, Nars have the most beautiful range and such a large variety in terms of coverage, finish and skin tone imo & their concealers are amazing too! I loved this vlog

I had a period where I started breaking out on my cheeks and getting, what I'd call, moderate cystic acne. I was constantly picking at my skin, and because I have dark skin the pigmentation of the scarring was just not it. i started getting laser pigment removal (Candela) and now I have little no scarring (it is on the pricier side though)

I love the Bondi sands SPF 50 face sunscreen (the one in the Blue packaging with a pump not the white one). It’s amazing. Otherwise the La Roche Posay face sunscreen in the shaker bottle. I just wish they both made them in a bigger size. Also the ordinary lactic acid serum made a big change for my skin. I use it every second night ALSO THE CANCER COUNCIL BB CREAM it’s 50 spf and tinted. It’s amazing. It sets really well and adds a tint. It’s amazing
