Just so you know ,kurgo harnesses are crash tested,but what they fail to mention is that the harnesses failed the test. Theres no law stating that harnessss have to be tested so manufacturers can label them however they want. Plus in the event of a crash, seatbelt tethers,carabiners etc. Will all snap and rip under pressure and wont save your dog. The only brand of harness out there that has been tested and PASSED are sleepypods. They use amazing strong materials and they're harnesses attach via looping the seatbelt and seatbelt chest strap thru the harness so theres no worrying about secondary products malfunctioning

I spoil my dogs to oblivion. I take them to Montrose Dog Beach in Chicago, Shelby Farms Dog Park in Memphis, and Beaches of Waveland, Mississippi. It’s a win win for all of us as we love all 3 cities. Then once the dogs are passed out in the Motel 6 Room, Daddy goes out and does his thing. 😂

I’m so glad to see harnesses can be used with that hammock. I want to get one but wasn’t sure about that and don’t like the idea of them loose in the backseat. Also if you had only one dog how would you give it time to play with other dogs if you never go to a dog park?

What a great video. I love the harnesses cause my dog is a big boy (105 lbs) and everything I find is not strong enough but those harnesses look perfect. I was gonna do some leash training today but it had to start raining. This video made me even more excited for warm weather for some fun adventures

So I love exploring and going out to town and shop or whatever and i would LOVE to take my dog without her having a nervous breakdown. She is scared of new things and also the car 😭 it breaks my heart but i want her to get socialization with the world

We also had this problem. I got into the car with my pup and stayed in the driveway…hand fed her breakfast, and then sat and read my book whilst she napped. Next day…in w/ treat, followed by a short local ride.Never was afraid of the car again. In fact, she wanted to get in the next day as we were just walking by the car😁

Love that treat pouch! I never go anywhere without a treat bag: and that one looks super cute! We use seatbelts for safety as well, since we don't have room for crates (we travel with ferrets and cats too LOL). We have both the Kurgo one, and one called the Roadie harness from Ruff Rider. I did upgrade to different carabiners though: we use super heavy duty, 'locking', mountain-climbing carabiners (Black Diamond is the brand I believe) with really high 'breaking points'. If you compared the mountain climbing ones next to the ones that come with the Kurgo harnesses, there is a huge quality difference!

We do the best that we can! Gunner Crates are crash-tested, so I use that. That thing is STURDY. I kicked it once to move it out of the way across my tile floor and it felt like my foot hit concrete lol Heavy as hell, probably a more permanent feature putting it in the boot, and probably the safest thing I've ever put my dog in.

It’s cotton. Just use a wet rag or hand wash the whole bag in the sink. The instructions say hand wash only. Don’t put in dryer.

Thanks for the video! I so want to take our 2 year old pup out more but anytime he sees a traffic cone or something out of the ordinary he jumps, scratches, and barks at the window and not even treats get his attention away. We keep trying even asked our trainer, but nothing seems to work. We have the hammock, straps, all the things. We even tried making it short so he can’t get to window and he will literally choke himself to jump at window. Any tips??

Anybody have tips if your dog gets really carsick? I have a viszla puppy and she’s thrown up on a fifteen minute drive before. When we brought her home from the breeders she also threw up probably around six times. 😭 Our vet gave us motion sickness medicine for her, but we don’t want to have to use that so often. Thanks!

Hi, Not sure if Rachel would agree with me, but with my 8-10 week Aussie, I would say "no" firmly with her and if she keeps repeating the same behavior multiple times in a row, I would use the scruff of her neck to hold her down for a couple of seconds with "no", firmly. I learned that mother dogs often discipline their puppies that way and it doesn't actually hurt them. Afterwards, I'll redirect her behavior to a chew toy and act joyous in reaction to that. Same with the puppy jumping up at you and accidentally scratching you. I would say "off" then step into them so she would naturally fall off. I needed to do this a couple of times...cuz she gets excited (prob cuz she feels my excitement seeing her). I would also act disinterested for a bit if she repeats the behavior. The nipping has naturally stopped at the fingers and hands (my puppy never nipped at faces) and the jumping up at people has decreased a lot... I think it just helps to be consistent and firm with the puppy so she knows who's the leader! Hope this helps!
