Here comes Day 3 of our first challenge of 2021!
For the third day of the Get Shredded 2-Week Challenge, we're focusing on fat-burning exercises!
If your goal is to lose weight, but not gain muscle, you might be of the mindset that weights aren't for you. The truth is, though, that adding light weights will actually help you tone the muscles that you have, which, in turn, helps you burn more calories and boosts your metabolism.
For this workout, I added 3lb weights, but you can add whatever weight is right for you or simply use your own body resistance (no weights). If you don't have weights, but want to use them, you can use everyday house items like canned food, water bottles, shampoo bottles, etc.
I strongly recommend warming up and cooling down before and after every workout.

Rachel this was a really fun workout and i'm looking forward to the rest of the challenge! Just a small thing, could you maybe add some 5 sec rests between the exercises? That way we can get up, look at the screen what's next without missing any seconds!

Quickly become my favorite workouts online. I’m so thankful to have found effective videos without endless amounts of “you can do it, keep going, girl, get your sweat onnnnn” babble. So enjoyable. Thank you!! Also, my mom can do them and I’m so grateful for that ❤️👏🏼

Yaas! I've been needing some squats in my life. Also. I'd be a big fan of more workouts featuring weights! I knew I didn't get my powerblocks for no reason. :D

Well, that was a quick little sweat fest! It's actually nice to get some less often used exercises like the deadlift in there. I need to work on my commandos, though. Wimpy (me, not them)!

Rachel Gulotta Fitness I don’t know how to explain it 😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️ so like in the email you also have a playlist link and the shred challenge video alone. I thought the challenge video would also be in the playlist but it’s not 🥺 I don’t know if that makes sense. Like day one was HIIT but the playlist had arm videos and not the challenge video I still absolutely loveeee the workouts I was just confused on if that’s how it’s supposed to be ? Sorry if I’m being annoying 😅
