Cover the pup’s cage with a thin blanket so he can’t see out. Makes a ton of difference for my pup! Make sure he’s getting air circulation though by raising one corner of the cover

Our dog would get car sick too. Hers was more so anxiety, she was just so nervous in the car and would throw up. Giving her melatonin helped take the edge off so she could relax and she wouldn’t get sick

My Aussie Matilda would get so sick. She would get anxious also. So we changed up to go on 10 to 15 minute drives. In her later years, she was much better.

My dog has always been super anxious in the car, so my parents give him anxiety meds before any long drive. My cat gets super car sick and meows the whole time because he doesn't feel good. So as bad as it sounds, any driving I try to do in the morning and don't feed him that day until we arrive at our destination. That seemed to help quite a bit.

you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it can hurt you instead

Our vet told us to use children’s Dramamine for our carsick dogs. Works great for us and no more sick doggies. Ask your vet if it could work for your dog.

My oldest daughter and her husband are going to Japan from March 21 through April 6. They were originally scheduled to go in March of 2020, but the pandemic shut the world down a few days before they were due to leave. Switzerland is beautiful, you’ll have great time there. Exciting news about possibly going back to teaching preschool. Hope everything falls into place for you.

My dog used to get car sick every time she would be in the car which was rare because she hated car rides and then she ended up having seizures from time to time so we just eventually stopped putting her in the car and it helped a ton she didn’t get sick nearly as much
