Rachel I love it when you talk about your depression it's only when we speak about it that we can help others who might be struggling too. You're so brave and I applaud you. I found your channel by simply searching diamond painting on KZbin. I heard about it from a friend and decided to check it out for myself. You and Mrs. Crochet were my teachers. I don't want to be entered into the drawing. I'm sorry to say I wouldn't appreciate the painting or the pens as maybe someone else. I consider listening to your calm voice my guilty pleasure. Rachel . I found diamond painting on wish and I typed it into Utube and found you . I watched your beginners video and bought my first kit . Then when online in a game I found out a dear friend who had bought a kit by accident and was going to throw it away .i headed her to your videos and she began and is now delighted . then I posted my finished first project to Facebook and another person spoke up and said she's got one and didn't know where to start . there all now watching you . We are such kindred spirits. I love cross stitch, diamond painting, crocheting and knitting. I have been to Ireland (I'm 1/4 Irish) and have always wanted to live there. I've also spent so much time in my life on drinking and looking to be social in that way. I have stopped. I hate being hung over to the point that I don't like to even have one drink anymore. I appreciate your honesty! Depression is very real. Going through this Covid-19 pandemic has caused quite a few people to become depressed. I use diamond painting to keep me in a positive frame of mind! I am a teacher coach. I miss my co-workers and the students! Remote teaching helps keep us in touch with each other, but it's not the same as being able to interact with each other in person! Thank you so must for being so open and sharing about your depression Rachel- I have Bipolar Disorder and in the last few weeks ive been suffering bad from the depression side of it for the first time in a long time. I found you by going through unboxing videos, searching the next projects for my new addiction. I stayed because I found your meaning honest, and nice that you are also in europe. Now I love to drill to your relaxing lovley voice. And its good to talk open about depression. I had depression. To go through therapie is even harder than have depression itself. It is painfull but worth it. One day I was waking up realising, I am free and born as a new person. It it hard to get me down since then(many years ago). I have no problems with appoinments, papers or take care of me. Nearly every day I can smile in the mirror and say I love you. Stay tuned, it is long process, but every day will lead you to real happiness, and this is a feeling you cant know anymore. I found you through a “suggestion” from KZbin! I am a manager in a jewelry department, and I believe the keystroke algorithm picked up the word Diamonds 💎 and “bobs your uncle”! You and mrs coffee are my favorites! ❤️💎 Even in the most crowded room, one can feel alone. A year ago, my husband of 28 years decided he didn’t want to be with me anymore. It has taken me a year to begin to care about, and for myself. Diamond painting has given me something to care about and look forward to. Not to mention the calm it brings me. I have had anxiety for years, and with the help of medication, I am doing things that never would have been possible. I too just took a big step with my dental health. Still more issues to tackle, but one at a time. My grandmother emigrated from Ireland in the 1910’s. I have never been to Ireland, and I’m looking forward to the retreat! That is something I never would have been able to do! Still anxious, put one foot in front of the other, and it’s possible. 🧳🦋🦄

I found your video through recommendations a week ago. I watched it because of your name to be completely honest. It was an unboxing video and I love those. I became hooked from that moment on. I work on my paintings at night when my pain level is the highest. (Fibromyalgia) I usually put on a movie but have been watching all of your videos instead. I found your channel with a search of a tutorial on how to diamond art. I love your videos. your voice is so soothing to listen to. I work on my projects while I view your video, it feels like I am in a mini diamond painting club. My daughter had given me 2 small diamond art club paintings as a mother's day gift. Great video. Because of you and Stitcherista, I have rediscovered my love of cross stitch. I am getting prepared now for my very first HAED and have been watching tons of youtube videos on how to do them, tips and tricks, and different stitching methods. I've been stitching off and on for over 30 years (but not in over 5 years until recently) and had never heard of diagonal stitching even though I have done full coverage patterns before. I recently downloaded and purchased Pattern Keeper. Very handy program, but it is not available for Apple products. There is a Facebook group from what I have seen, but I haven't checked it out.

I had a brain bleed and became paralyzed on my right side. I was sad because I couldn’t do my craft work. I saw diamond painting and I tried it. My friend helps set it up, but I can do it with left hand. I look up on KZbin and found you and others. Thank you. Another chapter.

Hello Rachel! I know the contest is way over but wanted you to know how I came across your channel! I came across you during a tutorial video you posted when I was trying to find a new craft, to help with my shelter in place due to the pandemic, and came across DP. I ordered my first DPs last week and was searching how to videos on KZbin and you were the 2nd viedo I watched and now shamelessly (or not because i find your whip and chats very therapeutic and cant wait to watch while I start to actually DP)have been binge watching your channel! I recently found your channel because another one of the KZbin channels I follow tried diamond painting one day and it looked really interesting to me, and I wanted to know more about it. So I typed in "diamond painting" in the search and your channel was the first one to come up, and I've been following you ever since. Thank you for opening up about your struggles with depression. I struggle with anxiety a lot (I can really identify with what you were saying about having a legit fear of doctors...I do as well to the point where I usually avoid going and when I do have to go, my husband has to come with me because I get so worked up). Anyways, I'm still a newbie with diamond painting but I'm enjoying it and I feel like it gives my anxious brain a break.

I love DP and it helps to calm my anxiety. I had a rough infancy and early childhood and have had anxiety and depression since that time. I’m 69 now and the DP is my only relaxing moments.
