I’m so empathizing with all this puppy stuff! It is no joke. We learned from our dog trainer to not hold the treat high in the air since it makes them want to jump or grab the treat so excitedly. Say “easy” and hold the treat below her mouth if that makes sense so she’s not looking up. She’ll take it so much gentler. She is adorable!!! And you are doing awesome. She’s lucky to have you guys. ❤

Try palm feeding Rue with the treats or giving the treat to her at her level versus holding it at a higher level which may cause her to jump and chomp while she tries to get the treat from you - it worked for my pup so hoping it works for you!! Your doing a great job 😊

For the pancakes - you could also just make the whole batch and then freeze them and pop them in the toaster to use later! 🎃

Absolutely love when you talk to the dogs! I honestly thought my husband and I were the only people who will talk to our dogs like they're going to respond back and engage in a conversation lol and we're so guilty of "tucking them in" at night and telling them sweet dreams haha. Hey Rachel - Love your vlogs and seeing your pups! I know Rue's barking is annoying, but you might want to reconsider using a barking collar with her, as it could just make her barking worse since she's already getting confused with it and could become fearful of it. It's a bandaid solution for an issue that can be worked out by keeping her busy with toys, enrichment games and exercise. Puppies need a lot of stimulation, as you probably know, and every breed is different. What may have worked with Winnie may not work with Rue.

One thing to keep in mind with the bark collar is when he barks and it beeps you have to show him the correction by saying no bark , otherwise he will have no idea what the beeping is . Your doggies are adorable I have two Aussies and they are barkers .

The bark collar is not the best solution she is a puppy after all. I do agree with what someone mentioned is to keep her busy and play with her since she has a ton of energy. Their ears are also very sensitive. Patience is key she will learn dogs are very smart. Good luck Rachel you’ve got this !

Hi Rachel! Since you’ve been asking for puppy advice, here’s one of the best tips I can offer you. Have your pup work for all her food. Portion out her food for the day, put it in a pouch/Fanny pack, and do short training sessions (no more than 2-5 minutes) throughout the day and her reward is her food. I did that with my golden retriever and he’s such a well-behaved boy. The 3 keys of dog training are consistency, motivation (getting the dog motivated with food for example) and timing (correcting behaviours immediately). Best of luck :)

Try shopping at the dollar tree for fall decor. They actually carry some high end stuff like foam velvet cloth pumpkins. And they don't break, also, won't feel bad about loosing them since their only a dollar 😂

You can also hold the treat in front of her mouth and she might try to nibble on your hand a little or something and just don't give it to her until she is licking and being gentle then say "yes, gentle" or easy or whatever you want to call it! It worked like a charm for my puppy

Hi Rachel, can you pls tell me which cuts t-shirts Dillion prefers. The Crew T-shirt or the cotton T-shirt. Looks like the crew is more stretchy material. But also wanted to know if it’s like polyester or if it’s shiny? The cotton t-shirt says it’s bigger when you first get it but you have to wash & dry to shrink it to actual size? This is confusing when trying to determine which size to get. I actual don’t tumble dry our clothes. Most things air dry. I wanted to get some of the t-shirts for my son and then I was going to try a tomboy tee and see how I like it. Any advise you can give me in the mens t-shirts as far as the two different materials and any fit & sizing info would be very helpful. Thanks dear.

For Rue eating too fast try to put some warm water in her bowl or a big ball, that should slow her down. My dog ate super fast and both of them slowed her down

To get Rue to not be aggressive with eating treats and ice cubes…. Make her sit and don’t let her move her head to grab it. Push it into her mouth more so she doesn’t try to bite it. Yes it’ll be her biting your hand a little bit but it works. Say gentle at the same time. (in the vlog you were having her come to you, push your hand into her mouth more then she won’t attack and let her lick and nibble a little gently) after a few times she’ll start realizing that she doesn’t have to bite aggressive!!

My 7month old puppy just started obedience school and one thing the trainer told us was to put the treat in the palm of your hand so she can take it gently. It helped us! My puppy is a golden doodle and the trainer also said she might not be able to see the treat as well holding it with your fingers because of all the hair they have! Lol
