Thank you so much, now I know what I should do with my hypermobile elbows, although I feel absolutely normal doing Plank (even feels easier and strength is not needed to lock the elbow like that). I was, to some degree, scared of that wierd position, now Id better get some strength and stability to balance that.

Thank you Rachel, the hyper mobility topic just struck me, I had no training about this in my TTC200. Also the importance of stability when mobility is that high, had a feeling about it, but now I know I have to dig deeper into it.

Andreea, that is so great, I'm really glad that enjoyed and had such an insightful takeaway. It's such an important topic to be aware of for our more flexible students who may not realize that "full range of motion" isn't always the optimal thing ~ :)

This was so good! I love how in depth you got on the different connective tissue types and how they support our bodies. I had no idea how strong the supporting structures of fat are! Also, kudos for shouting out hypermobile students. It's nice to be noticed ;) Thank you so much for sharing this video.

Yay! I am so glad that you enjoyed it. If you like the connective tissue stuff, then you also may want to check out gilhedley.com. He’s got tons of free anatomy bc videos on his site and he’s the one who really taught me about the layers of the body 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thanks for explaining the body in laymen’s terms. I can grasp and understand. If I want to get “nerdy” I can go from here. But this, this is important and it’s very cool to have an overview and a basic understanding.

Hi Rachel! Needless today I’ve loved the lesson! 😁 And the body image talk as well! Your teens’ story is so relatable, I guess for every girl under 20 or even over 😄 “I’m slender by nature. And naughty by nature” - that just cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 12:43 - I have a question about INTESTINE pronunciation. Indian anatomy teacher in my YTT pronounced it /intestʌin/ as you’ve pronounced it. Then I’ve heard somewhere someone says /intestin/. Then I checked in dictionary it was /ɪnˈtes.tɪn/. Do you know what’s the trick? I’m confused 😆 or if it’s plural it’s /intestʌins/ and when singular /ɪnˈtes.tɪn/? Or is it just kinda regional thing?
@RachelScottYoga3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Like so many anatomical words (talus and cervical come to mind), people pronounce them differently. As with all these words, there is probably an official way to say them by the dictionary (sounds like this may be inste"stin"). :)
@christinaspica3 жыл бұрын
@@RachelScottYoga crazy anatomy world 😆 and the way you pronounce it… /intestʌins/ ?
@RachelScottYoga3 жыл бұрын
@@christinaspica Honestly, I probably use both 😂
