I'm currently on cycle 4 of IUI with letrozole. No success yet, but we find a lot of comfort in the process. My last pregnancy took 6 months of medicated cycles (5mg letrozole), but ended in a pre-term labor and a sweet son in heaven. We're doing IUIs this time around as a way to monitor each step and help with my anxiety regarding this all. Praying for both of us!

We were successful with our 1st IUI after 16 months of actively trying to conceive our first baby. I could not believe that it worked, but it did. Who knows if it helped but I elevated my legs (lol) up on the dash for our 2 hour drive home from fertility clinic. We also had two mature follicles, however both were on the right. Our baby boy is healthy at 22 weeks and due in November! I can’t wait to see how the first IUI goes for you as well!! Hugs!! ❤

I was just thinking about this low success rate and I wondered if the sample of women who do IUIs is going to be very different from the general population of women trying to conceive. Or, is that 10-20% success rate on IUIs able to be generalised to the whole population? I figure that you don't do an IUI unless you've already been trying to conceive for a while. So a 10-20% success rate of *that* sample of couples is, by nature of the sample, necessarily going to be lower. If so, it'd actually appear to be an impressive success rate. Relatedly, I remember your clinician suggesting that yours and AJ's list of barriers to conceiving are not severe compared with other couples he sees. There is always hope. I hope this helps your mindset girl

I did two cycles of letrozole with IUI. First one no trigger shot no positive pregnancy test. The second one once again did and IUI/ letrozole with a trigger shot. I had 2 follicles and ended up pregnant. Now I have a 9 month old son. I have PCOS and did iui's because I never ovulated. I probably could have gotten pregnant on just letrozole but I figured I would go ahead and do IUI. Have Faith! What's meant to happen will happen!

Within the past year & a half I have had 2 losses.. twins & a baby boy. My most recent loss of my baby boy was this past March. I had two follicles as well, one on each side. When I did my trigger shot, both follicles did ovulate but luckily only one fertilized lol my mom is a twin so it’s been my biggest fear 😅 good luck! Our first medicated cycle worked for us and we couldn’t believe it. Praying for you!

I hate that pharmacist question dr orders. They cant ask, its HIPPA... Like I was Rx'd iron at one point during my pregnancy. The pharmacist didnt want to give it to me, I had to have the doctor call them and explain to them that I did in fact need it

Hiiiii! Stay strong! Trust GOD! I tried IUI 2 times and unfortunately it did not work. I feel God was waiting for us to not have a doubt that our baby was his divine miracle and not out of our efforts. We got pregnant about 1 year after we tried with IUI. We weren’t on anything! All this to say Trust God!!! Also we had some friends we referred to the fertility clinic in Guatemala and they had a positive story with IVF on the first try! So everything and anything is possible. Stay positive!

From my personal experience, it can cause stress especially when ttc for a while but there are other options for couples who struggle with that..

From my experience, there is defenetly a contious attitude shift needed. The first month i got stressed and kind of awkward xd but then we shifted to a natural surrender and focused on giving more opportunity to be romantic and acts of service❤, that help to not feel like its a chore
