Fairies In The Garden is a mixed media 8 x 8" Canvas created to celebrate reaching 30,000 subscribers on YT. I would like thank everyone who watches, rates, comments & subscribes to my videos. I am truly amazed at the number of people who do!

I usually have a vague idea of what I'd like to do in my head, then once I start working on a piece, I get more ideas of the direction I want to take it in. For example, with the above piece, I only set out to use the stencil which was a new purchase. However, once I had chosen and painted the background colours, I got the idea of creating a garden. It was only later the idea of putting a fairy in there came to mind. It's a sort of process that develops as I go along.

I woke up this morning in a fibromyalgia fog. didn't want to get out of bed. I watched this video and it inspired me to get up and go to my craft room and create! Thanks. This is one of the loveliest pieces I've seen in a while.

The simple addition of each media makes the final piece so surprising, it is like opening a present to see the final art. Thank you for inspiring great ideas. Silks Glazes are made by Luminarte. They are irridescent / pearlecent transparent glazes, though if you layer them heavily enough, they are less transparent and can be used more like a regular pearlescent paint. They paint onto all kinds of surfaces too including metal, plastic etc, so very versatile. The shimmer is amazing! Re.music - It is called Streets of Italia and comes as part of Pinnacle Studios Software. It is not available to download however to the best of my knowledge.

I LOVE this. Your channel is one of my most favorites. This piece would be perfect for my craftroom. I'm so obsessed with fairies. One morning my husband woke me to tell my goodbye and my response was, "I want to build a fairie garden outside my window." Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately texture paste does not hold true colour, so it would not have worked in this instance, and it does not show metallic paint either. Good idea in theory though :-)
