One more thing, when you know someone is likely holding an angle at somewhere you are peeking from, do a quick AD peek to bait the shot, and then use the time window for the enemy to load the next bullet to shoot your shot. This time window can be very short for fast rate-of-fire weapons like Winfield with Iron Repeator, but with enough practice, it is still long enough to shoot a somewhat accurate shot. This baiting strategy is especially useful during wood fights, in which basically whoever lands a shot first has a huge advantage since rotating from trees to trees is very dangerous.

Fights in Hunt are sparse and quick. Poof and you've caught one for the team already, lying in a pool of your blood and incompetence. I'm think CS:GO DM with some semi-auto guns or snipers should help bring the mechanical skills up a notch, having you engage half a dozen people a minute at least. As for the crosshair, I think the brain is pretty adaptable and TBH I never even noticed Hunt had a crosshair below center. But CS is a bit... boring, it lacks the tension of the Hunt.
@yeet_cs3394 Жыл бұрын

I think keeping the crosshair below the center of the screen helps as you often need to zoom in to scan for people around the map, this way the gun doesnt occupy much of the screenspace. Centered crosshair would obstruct vision a bit more. Anyway, it would be a good thing and easy to implement if there was an option in the settings to choose the crosshair position to anyone's liking.

I still despise the off center crosshair, it's extremely intuitive/natural to find and track with the center of your screen crosshair or not. I hope some day they reconsider it but I know it'll never happen. Feels like I'm staring at the sky the whole time I'm playing hunt and it takes a real conscious effort to not default to the natural inclinations of 20 years of playing proper shooting games

I'd also say, that, depending on the weapon you are using and the situation you are in, to not be afraid of taking the shot, i sometimes got out of intense situations against people who was a lot better than me, simply by putting pressure on the enemies (trying wallbangs\ shooting at places where they might be coming out of) and not giving them many chances to peek because they know they might risk their head should they peek, afterall ammos is nearly everywhere, and if they decide to push 1 to 3 bullets on the drum\magazine is enough to end a fight for the unfortunate who will perish, maybe that's just how i play though... regards for the video
@NeonKnightXD2 жыл бұрын
If i see a hunter moving around and back and forward quickly, i sometimes wait too long for him to stop and for me to land an easy headshot. This sometimes costs me the advantage of not having been seen and is more frustrating if i still miss. I should take more chances and just see if the enemy will move to the sight like Rachta is implying.

I'm not sure I completely agree with a few of these points. This is mostly personal preference, but my sens is just high enough to do, I don't know, a 225 degree turn going from one edge of the mousepad to the other? A 360 gets your crosshair to the same place where you started which is cool for style points but I don't see much practical use there. When you need to track other players they're usually moving horizontally on the ground, not vertically like a firebomb. The low crosshair isn't that big of a deal as long you keep approximately the same sensitivity between games (I've found that dividing your CS:GO sens by two gets you pretty close to the same sens in Hunt.)
@k48u70 Жыл бұрын
The crosshair not being center does not bother me as much anymore. To me its not much diff then when u look down and see your feet or limited in looking up but yes when I first started playing that was a major worry of mine, I have since gotten used to it and as far as playing other games i usually aim just fine off the crosshair location and just gotten used to hunt being a lil different but ya most people say if u wanna get good at a game you play that one game so i understand the statement "dont play other games", yet I think you can get used to it and its just small adjustments to your muscle memory. (not a pro gamer btw just a try hard) if you do play other games i recommend using the hunter control scheme that way the holding of two keys to aim can act as a mnemonic to transition your muscle memmory.
@DAWEED992 жыл бұрын
My main problem with hunt aiming is, the game has some fucked up sensitivity settings, theres no uniform soldier aiming like in basically any other fps game, the fov changes when using different scopes, which causes the sensitivitys to be fucked up😅 i just cant get my sense exactly to the same i have it in any other fps, its always slightly off
@heymelon2 жыл бұрын
I've seen a few on your videos on this now but I kinda have a question. So there is peekers advantage and especially for the leftside peek, but holding angle "usually wins" when someone pushes you. So the peekers advantage is only superior to holding angle I suppose when you both know perfectly where the other guy is? So the peeker is pre-aming perhaps?

Gtx 1080 or above should do the trick. Maybe just buy a used one because they are not way slower than new ones but of course maybe they will only last 2 years less but mine is already running for 3 years now and it was used ~ 2 years before I bought it. Even a GTX 1070 can run the game in a pc on 70+ fps in good condition and cooling in 1080p. Just search on youtube for a gpu you are interested in with the resolution you gonna play with.

I dont think that Rachta can anwser that. It depends on to many things. Search in KZbin for some budget builds. Currently there are no good cards for a reasonable price. So I would wait a view months, so that the new cards would cost less. Like the rtx 3060, that might cost under 400€. Or buy a used one. I would recommend not to go less than a gtx 1060. @TheSnisel2 жыл бұрын
Then your aim isn't the problem but your nerve (lack of better word). I had the same when I started playing counterstrike. I would suggest playing a lot of quick play and try to engage and not be afraid. You're flinching because they scared you and you don't want to die. Also try to stay calm (like tell yourself to) when a player is near, this should help minimize erratic aim cause you're caught off guard

I'd disagree with "don't play any other fps shooters" If I take a pause from hunt it takes me about 1-2 hours to get used to lower crosshair than in cs for example(I have 3.5k elo on faceit). May be it's just me as I've spent a huge amount of time training my aim and crosshair placement there, but when u are used to look "through" ur crosshair, it doesn't really matter where it is as long as it's not at the side of ur screen, may be it can affect on quick scopes but I don't play sniper rifiles ot nitro, so it's completely fine for me
@p0r5ch39112 жыл бұрын
"Don't play other games." To be fair, there aren't many options at the moment. Except for Tarkov maybe, no other fps is that immersive. Everything recently released tried to be as fast as Apex and Fortnite, but the reason Hunt is so good is not because you run, die and shoot so fast, but because the tension before something is happening when both players know where they are is so calm.

This guide lacks one very importaint element for moving targets: Lead. Depending on distance to target and selected weapon, aiming shall be done with a bit in front of the targets direction. The size of that bit depends on muzzle velocity of your gun and distance, and it is close to impossible to tell excactly what it is every time. The only way to know better is to try different shots and see what works (better). E.g. with a Sparks sniper on approx. 150 meter range I finally made a headshot on a running hunter, when I shot 4(!) widths of a hunter in front of him.

I don't know if I agree with his don't play other shooters sentiment. I find I tend to adjust fairly well when switching. It usually just takes a game or 2 to warm up and adapt to the changes but after that I'm usually fine. I do think all of my time playing DayZ and other tactical shooters helped me with hunt especially tactic wise and learning to always go for the head when possible. I think CSGO and pub g are also probably helpful because they are very competitive shooters where smart play styles and headshot precision is vital for doing well.
@ambientvirtual3 жыл бұрын
It might have to do with the fact that there are no automatic weapons in hunt (besides the avto) and thus hitting your single shots is the only way to actually win a fight. I've noticed this too... my snap aim and tracking got so much better because of this game, that hitting people with automatic weapons or snipers in other games is super easy now.
@shantanupoddar1933 жыл бұрын
@@ambientvirtual yeah in hunt let's say you don't have fanning so it's all like you shot one then it takes some time to take another shot. At first, it was pretty difficult to understand or get the reflexes in. This game does require patience at a high level. @@MostGenericUser well in aiming perspective yes the crosshair placement helps us out from different FPS games, but the thing is I can't really mess up with Hunt sensi to get my aim right. The first few days I had kept in high seni in the hunt and believe me my aim in csgo and pubg was all over the place. I play at very low sens in csgo and I think hunt requires a bit more sensi to you know lean your shots and 180. so in that way I thought to better not mess up csgo and continue hunt at low sensi and suck at the game

"learning tracking by aiming at ur own hellfire" ????? when in the game do u have SO much vertical movement???? and since hellfires break on the floor there is no point practicing that. "Shoulderaim at head in the church" those many idiots who sneak into buildings even if they know the one inside knows they are there (prerequisit for this example) have an easy job killing u because ur weapon is covering them. at least u say in the next "holding and tracking" that this is stupid..... right after u said its a good thing.... -.- u dont need to do a 360 with one hand movement!!! a 180 CAN be a good thing to react fast, but the first thing u should do when someone is fireing on u unexpecticly: get cover. dont stand in the middle of the road and try a "call of duty"-move.... this is Hunt get ur sensitivity LOW!!! better to lift ur wrist and use more of ur mousepad than having a too high sensitivity and having a hard time hitting ur opponent. with the right software u can set(for example) one of ur thumb buttons on the mouse to switch between 2 sensitivity settings, one for walking, one for aiming(with lower setting). and last some in general...: was it so hard to get a second(or third) person that could have simulate as an enemy to visiualize what u try to show? go into a game, hope to be the last team with bounty(so u have enough time) and hit record... 2-3 of those games and u could shown this better. i was afraid what u wanna advice in the "Dont play any other games?" section, after this ton of crap, because the question itselfe is BS... of couse u can play other games. its like u asking "is water wet?" ..... seriously .... if this is your way of "aiming" ok... i dont care... but dont sell that as THE WAY TO AIM... with that u max hit mediocre, and to get better than than that u have to "relearn" aiming
