Alain de Cadenet gives us a special look at his 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C while he prepares for a race during the Monterrey Motorsports Rolex Reunion. We meet up with Alain at Laguna Seca before his qualifying run of the day and get a first-hand look at one of the most extremely rare and valuable cars in the world.

I go to speedway motorcycle races in part to smell the methanol and bean oil; it smells like racing.

Lovely car, although i would recommend wearing some kind of harness just in case.

In cars like this a harness is more likely to kill you. If you have a front impact the car just crumples and crushes you with the engine so a harness wont help and if you flip it the best thing that can happen to you is to fly out of the car because there is no roll bar and the car just lands on top of you.
