Hey from Australia, ive been using Castrol VMX in my KX250 2006 since new. The KX gearbox is known to be harder to shift under load with VMX turns it in to a slick shifter makes your clutch last longer and keep your gears from prematurely wearing out the dogs. Oil life is the same as all oil brands. Where i notice it work the best is shifting from 3rd to 4th under full throttle using the clutch only (no backing off). 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

MattyB love the videos. Sounds like a carb or reed issue. I had 2 vforce reeds crack and break on my kx125 years ago. When it happened it felt like the throttle was stuck and would come and go. It led to a huge crash one time. Glad you stayed safe and hopefully you can get the bike squared away.

I had a problem on my 21 250. Randomly when I would turn to the left or have a hard landing the throttle would get stuck like half open. I would think I had it fixed and it would come back. Finally I found that throttle cable was binding with the suspension right where the hook to go to the frame is. Fixed that issue and no more problems. Just a thought!

I had a 2023 YZ250 and had the same problem. Throttle would get stuck. I checked everything, cable, tube, slide, etc, etc, even put in a G2 tube....nothing fixed it. I traded it in for a 2023 YZ250f after it scared the crap out of me three times on the face of a double and triple.

Don't be pulling that throttle housing on the bar too far in or tight also dude. make sure that carb and slide is all cleaned up good hopefully no one got aggressive with it while working on it with you a little nic or scratch on that thing can ruin the show for sure. Coming out the gate though man you ripping that shit! Start tech is strong I wanna see more aggression on that opening lap though!

Hay a good show. I love the 2 stroke but up against all those 450 in a pack of 35+ rides,that 250 has to be a special one at that. that said, upgrade to a 450, and you'll noticeably do better. with the way 250 4storke go these days, the 250 2-stroke should not be paired to race with the 450 of to days races bikes, should be 250 2-stroke, 250 4-stroke Keep the video 📹 going,and good luck turning it up for the next one

@@natel7382 dude first off I am from Germany and yes thats me. In Germany we race 30+2 even the amateurs. 2nd start and the first lap is important as fuck. All the posiotion you can hold for the first few laps a crusal. These guys are fit and equal in speed. If you lose about 30 sec when you suck in the first laps you dont make that time up or are you JS7? He is a 30th place guy, there is no need for holding back. If he gets a start like this on a 2 stroke he needs to absolutly send it the frist laps and try to hold that.
