I was kidnapped once with my wife in Jamaica. I did not think to use a honeymoon excuse, but like Fangio played it cool and we eventually escaped unharmed. Another small thing I share with my hero besides racing cars (Although to a much different amount of success). Still wonder about Hunt’s experience up in the skies between weekends though…

@ourafilmes The petrol tank is there, tools and brackets. Back when you just came in your autohome/truck and set up on the grass behind the pits. Cars just stood out in the rain and all before the race. It was spartan but then again the cars weren't grown in a lab like nowaday

If you really want to do a video about a controversial racing topic, drug/ alcohol use by driver during the race. Hunt clearly raced with cocaine as did the Schumacher brothers. Back in the 1920's and 30's drivers were seen taking "powders" at races at Brooklands. When I was racing 1975-2009 I saw several drivers Toke up before races, coke and amphetamines are regularly used especially at the grass roots level. Good luck getting drivers to admit this, deny, deny, not me! US air force tests prove coke dramatically improves reaction time, like cuts reaction time by half. Ralf Schumacher said it was in his drinks bottle in car.

Mate, I never thought - until I read your comment - about doing a controversial video about drugs or alcohol... Although it seems intersting I don not know where to start, how to cover it with footage,... I did not know about those Schumacher stories...

@@ourafilmes My sister is a professional writer and I gave her this as a book idea. I did about a weeks worth of research and spoke with a couple motorsports fitness trainers and they said while it is part of the sport, no one would ever talk about it, even after decades have past. I can give you dozens of historical examples, like most LeMans racers in the 1920's-1930's drank wine all during the race. NASCAR was founded by moonshiners who at least through the 1950's often raced with their product. Al Unser Jr was a pretty big pot smoker, IMSA drug dealers dominate that series, and at least a few NASCAR drivers shot heroin before races, and lots more examples if you want. Would be a very interesting video, but you would get a ton of hate.
