Racing for 7 Days in Spain - PYRENEES STAGE RUN

The Pyrenees Stage Run is a 7-day race along 220 km of the GR11. The course passes through 5 Natural Parks, starting and finishing in Catalonia, Spain while crossing the entire country of Andorra. Audrée and I teamed up for the event which is run in teams of either 2 or 3, and it would be her goal race for the season as I used it as a training run for my own. But this adventure would feel as much like a running vacation as anything else as we stayed in hotels and ate delicious food each day, making some new friends from around the world along the way.

I'm catalan, I've been to all those places (hinking not running ^^'), also Andorra, good video! The descent from Port de Baiau (where that person got injured) is the trickiest point of all GR11 imo, I've always done it in the opposite direction.

Protein shake is always the first thing, usually followed by some rolling with a ball or foam roller (depending what we have with us when we travel), and maybe some stretching.

I wouldn't call it "adventure" if you have the GPX track AND the GR marks on the way hahaha 😂 Before watches, we used to do routes only with the marks 😅

I think the organizers are just trying to manage expectations. It’s of course standard practice to provide flagging during organized events, and any event I’ve done with sparse flagging has used similar language.
