I was waiting for the engine to catch fire going by the title!! Not unusual in old VW's! The Lofotens look beautiful but I've seen loads of vlogs from there this year and I'm guessing that like the Isle of Skye, it gets mad busy? I'm guessing wild camping there might be tricky? BTW...would your dog run away if it was off lead? I've noticed you always keep her on lead, even on the beach.
@SimonBraeck
@SimonBraeck 4 жыл бұрын
Let’s hope we don’t experience that any time soon😂 This year it was quite good in Lofoten, especially in August which is a bit later than the common holiday here. Also, the lesser known places are never crowded anyway. Lofoten is challenging for wild camping, it’s easier in a tent but most van parking places are often occupied. Our dog has a strong hunting instinct and there are plenty of sheep here, which is why we always need to keep here leashed, unfortunately... 😞

Sure thing. It’s actually common to swap engine in these vans, we’re considering a 1.9L TDK engine now. If you can find a petrol 2.1L WBX, you’ll get a more powerful van with an original engine. It depends on what’s available and what you prefer of course :)
