Unbelievable amount of great information. I'm brand new to to this also--old retired Air Force guy now in WV--and all your instruction is now the bible for me. Designing my first loft based on this and your earlier videos as well as how to care for my new birds when they arrive in June. This is the best subscription on KZbin for sure. Thank you for everything! PS: Also sent you an email...

Looking nice, im learning that those drop traps are the way to go. Im thinking im gonna go back to that system next year.
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons4 жыл бұрын
To me it seems like it might be the way to go just because the birds can move more freely. They don’t seem to like to push on stuff to make their way. Thanks Mark

Looking good mate, I have the bob wires as you have seen in my videos, but if I have another cage I might go with a sputnik trap

You got some really nice skills there, kalapatid! I’ve been wanting trap doors like that, but just don’t have the talent to do it haha! The loft is getting nicer brother 👍🏼👏💪

Everybody has something they are good at Kalapatid. I never intended on being good at building stuff but I guess 35 years in the construction field kind of rubbed off on me lol. Thanks buddy, Stay safe

That’s perfectly made. Did you make your own next fronts too? Keep the landing board at lest to where you will be able to guide your birds into the loft. Love the cabinet hinge idea. That might work for me too.

I am a real novice at this , so I have a question. Does it need a landing board on the outside entrance? great information Thank you.
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons2 жыл бұрын
Yes it does Kenneth, I have one made out of wood framing and wire on the outside. And they can just walk in through the trap
@ramiromuniz81813 жыл бұрын
Hello. Can you tell me the dimension of the trap thanks . nice video
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I made the traps to fit in between the studs so they are about 4.5 inches and I think the height was about 8 inches. The pieces are on a 45 deg. angle so you will have to figure the length after you make them. If you have smaller pigeons like rollers you will have to make the bar spacing less than 4". Thanks for asking 👍

Thanks for the dimencion informacion

Why without landing board
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons5 ай бұрын
The landing board is out side. It opens up and folds down. I hope that answers your question

You still have puppies? How do I get information on them?
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons4 жыл бұрын
The puppies actually sold out in six days time. They didn’t even make it to seven weeks old. Thanks for asking

Rocky Ridge Kennel & Loft When do you plan on breeding again? How much are you asking for them? Thanks Al
@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons4 жыл бұрын
I should have another litter in about six months. They are usually sold around 850. You can check back with me if you like. They are a great working bloodline German Shepherd.
