I also have also heard that Czech Republic is very kind and welcoming, so what our traveling mate youtuber here experienced may have been a secluded event - everywhere you got a place you don't want to spend time at. There are mostly good people in Hradec Králové and it is a beautiful city. Unfortunately, the main station, especially at night like this, is home to homeless people, drunk people and people on drugs. Even we, the people of Hradec, are afraid to go to the station at night. Vlaková nádraží velkých měst jsou vždycky jak procházet dungeonem, zatím to u mě ale "vyhrává" Praha a Brno :D Radši bych šla hledat nejbližší hotel/motel, nebo aspoň zapadnout do nějakého podniku. As a Czech I am very very sorry for this experience. Unfortunately, I think that this is not only a problem of Czech cities, but of all European cities in general. Train stations somehow attract this sort of people, and tourists are the first to have exactly such an image. You've been around for a while, so you can probably assess the level of threat, but I advise you to call the police without hesitation in such a situation! Even that police often doesn’t do anything.. because of the law limits or out of their laziness🤷🏻‍♂️

You can find a lot of homeless people and meth heads at places like this during the night. Even more of them near Prague main train station. Just ignore them or go away. I feel you André, as I have to deal with those people as well... The thing is, Czechia actually has a generous system of social support and safety nets to help anyone to get back on their own feet, so there is absolutely no reason for people to be homeless and live out in the streets. They just don't have to. Those people chose to live like this, to just throw their lives away. To make their priority to somehow buy their next shot of booze oz whatever else... Honestly, they are the absolute trash of our society and I'm sorry you had to experience that.
