What's Trending she’s 1. Embarrassed because she lost her job. 2. Evading the law. 3.gone into hiding because of all the backlash and death threats. She’s probably sheltered and celebrated by either a white supremacy group or militia. Pray for her because she’s another in a sad, long and lengthy list of white people that have been subjected to generational brainwashing at the hands of mainstream media that continues to spew all kinds of racist propaganda against black people as if we are born “thugs” straight out the womb. What’s even more sad in this day and age is that a large percentage of these hardcore racists have net even seen a black person with their own two eyes!!! That’s how effective this generational brainwashing is, from the mainstream media to racist families passing down their racist ideologies to their children. The question is, At what point do people attempt to make a conscious decision to develop their own mind and make decisions for themselves?!?!

Ashley Lake I try, Ashley. I marched against Jim Crow in the early 60s, but I can’t escape some amount of built in knee-jerk racism. I’m a white person who was born in the 40s and grew up in a very very white affluent neighborhood. And it’s quite honestly hard to get outside and see oneself. There’s a really good TED talk by a woman who was a man*. He thought he was one of the good guys and it wasn’t until he went through gender reassignment in his 50s or 60s that he realized how unintentionally sexist he had been. And how hard it was to be a woman. The way he was treated by some men when, as a man, he never would’ve been talked to that way. Systemic racism, systemic sexism. it’s all the same. As she said in the talk, “you can’t know what you don’t know“. After the protests, I think the best we can hope for is that people start rethinking themselves. And rethinking what it’s like to be in someone else’s shoes. Sam Cooke said it in the ‘60s: “it’s been a long time coming”. And it’s still gonna be a long time. Long after I’m gone. I thought Obama was a start, but it brought the haters out of the woodwork. (* I’ve lived as a man and a woman - here’s what I’ve learned“ Paula Stone KZbin)

Rieley Nesbitt My grandmother graduated from nursing school in 1913 and opened her own hospital, a seven-bed maternity hospital in Hollywood (no rules and regulations in those days!). Two hospitals later, each bigger and more full featured, she opened one in the ‘30s and I was born there in 1946. It wasn’t until long after she died that I realize how unusual she was, but she was always my role model.

I am 61, black and my parents were born in Alabama and Oklahoma and never talked about the negative aspects of growing up in the south. As I've aged and people openly discuss those days and they're being accurately recorded in books, every time I think this is rock bottom, I learn something so vile, it's inconceivable humans are capable of such depravity. I know if whites were truly aware of half of the things their grandparents and parents participated in and or agreed with the practices, they' would be ashamed. It similar to finding out your father was a serial killer and your mother was aware and understood why it was necessary.

@@lunakmbitou4198 Lookup the 1918 lynchings and pay special attention to Mary Turner, and note law enforcement's role. Next, Isaac Woodard. Both are little-known cases and examples of southern justice; unfortunately the two incidents weren't anomalies, mob violence was pervasive and unchallenged. Next look up Viola Liuzzo and note J. Edgar Hoover's role. Those that garnered national attention and outrage stood a better chance of going to trial, normally with all white juries. AA knew if they pursued justice, it put their life and more importantly the lives of family members at risk. With this in mind, think about how many were never reported due to fear of retaliation. PBS may still be streaming the 90-minute documentary Slavery by Another Name, it's profound, disturbing and a must see. I'm interested in your opinions.

Sent my son to a small Catholic school for 3 years. Didn't know it when we applied but found out when we went to entrance interview that he would be the only caucasian student. The principal asked him if he could handle that, he said he would have to think about it. By end of interview he wanted to go. One day principal was telling me what happened on playground that afternoon, her office is right above playground. A bunch of boys asked my son if he played basketball, baseball or football which he said no. They asked what he did he said karate and soccer. They said that was white boy stuff and he said well what do you think I am! End of conversation and they were his best friends the whole time he was there till he went to high school. Great for him to see things from a different perspective. To this day he has friends of all ethnicities.

I just watched another video where a Caucasian contractor pulled up to a black woman's house with a huge confederate flag on his truck. She politely told him that she had a problem with the flag and while he has an absolute right to his opinion she was deciding to go with another contractor. The first thing out of his mouth was "I can take it down." Black people have green money too. It's like my father told me, success is the best revenge and if you really want to hurt someone then hit'em in the wallet.

Sid Hicbab The firing is excessive!Even as a black person I have to admit there are black people who commit serious crimes against white people. But these incidents appear to be an inordinate and foolish waste of law enforcement resources. The real question that has to be addressed is why some white feel the need to call the police in situations that do not warrant. And why out of all the races in the USA; why it is mostly black people have violent encounters with law enforcement personnel. Or in this case why some white people call the police for non criminal, non physical threatening encounters with black people. I cannot speak for white people's behaviour, where prejudice and bigotry run deep in some instances. But for black people we have to conduct our selves with dignity, respect for the law;allowing the necessary time for proper investigation to be carried out. With a resolution that is just, equitable and appropriate to come out. Time is short with the Lord's Coming very close. Let all men and women everywhere prepare for His Coming with humble and contrite hearts!Let us not immerse ourselves in lives of intolerance, bigotry, hatred, greed, selfishness, indifference, drunkness, lustfulness and unbelief in God!

Then he told her to come to him and the next thing you know he is running towards my coach and saying that he feels threatened by my team( 8 9 10 11 or 12 year old girls). And all we were doing was running on the beach. But another thing is, is that he came over when all of the dads were gone setting up tents and only the moms were there and my coach. But I am kind of glad that the dads weren’t there because I don’ t know what they would’ve done. I also feel bad for the 4 year old girl because racism is taught and she didn’t even know what was going on.

The bigger question is why, in the USA, you can make a statement that "if you get it wrong...you could be the reason someone gets killed or hurt". Calling the police in most countries would de-escalate the situation. Calling the police in the USA often escalates the situation and every year literally hundreds of citizens are killed by the police, who are their for their "protection". Policing in the US is broken.

When I was a LEO I would get calls about a suspicious person walking on the sidewalk. When I asked dispatch what was suspicious about the subject, inevitably the answer was that the person was Black and the complainant said they had no business being there. I had an SOP for these calls. I would locate the subject and, unless there was actually something suspicious (a very rare occasion), I would tell dispatch “10-97 (on scene), 10-4, there’s a Black male/female walking on the sidewalk. 10-8 (back in service).” I did have one complainant yell at me that “that damn N had no business on HER street”. I explained it was a public street and not her property. A later found out he lived three houses down from her. At least I had an interesting job😄 .

If all fake callers no matter thier race would be charged or fine for making up false stories that would definitely help the community and law enforcement.. People can be seriously hurt over false accusations.. There should be a law to protect the citizens from false accusers

@@337Brian Exactly, the change must start with law enforcers. By law if you make a false report/statement depending on the jurisdiction an individual can be charged with a misdemeanor or felony. Charges of a Misdemeanor results in one year or less jail time with a nice penalty fine. Charges of a Felony results in more than a year jail time including a healthy penalty fine. If this were addressed by Every Jurisdiction the same way it is guaranteed these false reports/statements will drop dramatically. It's the Law...Enforce It on ANYONE as you said No matter their Race/Gender/Status.

This racist woman used a CODE word to have the police arrive ASAP: African-American. This is SO tired and frustrating. Yet, law enforcement is slow in making arrests for these bogus calls.

What great PR for the firm that fired that moronic female. You have stood by the courage of your convictions. You are also a firm to be proud of. Thank you

Maybe she went back to the 1940"s. Sounds like she would fit right in.

Thing is, this isn't the 1940s. Which proves we haven't come as far as most people think.

If it was the 1940's, as a woman she wouldn't be making any 125K boast about either.
