Nice! Could you please add the link for the material library that you mentioned in the 6:30 in the video? I don't find it in the description. Thanks

Been using the new Pro Render and it's finally great with Blender IMO! Like your coverage of the plugin and look forward to the stream!

The Roughness-Normal bug is a shame because otherwise this sounds fantastic. The MaterialX support has me interested as well, as I would love to work more seamlessly between Blender and other applications (although it seems to be quite complex to setup) Thanks for the roundup!

Always interested in these analyses of RPR - Working on Mac OS platform, I've noticed in the Blender's interactive window, we don't have access to the "render Quality" option. In the world tab "Fog option", I think it could gain in realism with some "distortion" or "randomness" to simulate a more "winded" foggy atmosphere, buy the way It's really fast here. Surprisingly, RPR add-on for Blender still works with important lacks comparing with other render engines f.e. Luxcore or Cycles X. This version of RPR appears - for my setup - less efficient/accurate. My Radeon Pro Vega 64X is less exploited than when RPR integration in C4D two years ago, back in time RPR was crazy fast and more realistic too but It was optimized with APPLE support directly. Since Apple abandoned AMD's graphic cards, they recently started to invest in Blender which brought to Mac users a mega positive experience with Blender. Finally. ;o)

I'd love to see a video on the export of the separate layers in exr format (with atmospheric world effects). Then, how to recompile the separate layers in a compositing tool like Natron or Fusion.

Hmmm…. In the Fireball series I go over some of that for Resolve/Fusion

So, is this the only render engine currently that can use AMD Radeon graphics cards, or can AMD GPUs be used in cycles as well?
@djtutorialscgi
@djtutorialscgi 2 жыл бұрын
Most engines support AMD. Cycles supports AMD and Nvidia.

I can't find the "interactive" setup as you. (which you mentioned in the 5:00 in the video). I don't have this option...

what Gpu are you using? how does it scale with stacking multiple ones?
@djtutorialscgi

I have an RTX 3090. It should scale but in tests I’ve seen that for rendering animations it’s better to render separate instances rather than dual GPU.

I uninstalled it. Too many crashes on my RTX 3060 / AMD 7950x System. Even Blue-Screens (WIN 11)

Yes- I am running into a similar issue which is why I haven’t done any posts recently on the engine. I’m hoping it gets fixed soon.
