Talk to Kevin from KSR down there in Florida. He has a few sc300's and I think atleast one is for parts
@ChasingPerfection2 жыл бұрын
Not to mention he'd be a good guy to hook up with since he has a dyno. I mean LZ has a dyno too.

Love this build this exactly what I’m doing to my IS300. Been watching everyday. Hope to visit you in Florida someday sir

This is way radder than swapping an already set up long block in. Something special about having some factory metal in the car. True hot rodding in the classic sense, working with what you got and being innovative. So sick. 🙌

i would love to see more of the trans setup specifically the crossmember. i am doing a zf swap on my sc400 and i know the cross members are the same so want to know more about how to copy yours if possible

@@RADIndustries would also like to dive into the ZF trans swap. I picked up a ZF trans from a ‘96 M3 and would like more info on the swap. Albeit im doing it with an SC400, but still interested.

Could you talk about how much it would cost to build this from start to finish

There is a sc 300 near where I live that’s just been sitting . I’m going to knock on the door tomorrow and ask if they would like it removed from there yard . Just saw Carlos arrieta ripping 1jz set up at the track last weekend . thanks for these videos and the motivation .

I'm sure you already know this but there is a bunch of options to switch from distributor to crank/cam sensor. From simple bolt on kits that mount a cam sensor to in front of the cam gear like golebys or fsm or SupraVworld. Also some guys have drilled the valve cover and mounted the cam sensor right on top. Lots of options for non vvti GE guys these days.
@RADIndustries2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but I don’t want anything to do with that non sense. That’s why I picked this year

That stainless TRE manifold works really well. We used one on a couple NA-T cars and it controls boost great.

Got up tavarish now that your in Florida with him. Between him and Jared they have a couple SC parts. Both are big supra guys too. Probably can teach them some stuff. SC looks sick in black with the black rims.

What oil pump would you recommend on a vvti 1.5jz build some say a 2j gte pump will create too high of oil pressure that the ge pump be safer option ?

I know most people don’t talk about it but I was wondering if you could say how much the build has cost in total because I want to build one just don’t wanna just head deep until I know exactly is much I might be jumping into
@RADIndustries2 жыл бұрын
I don’t know exactly what I spent on it. Maybe like 7k. Plus the cost of the car. But I had a lot of parts sponsored on this build. So I would think about 20k or even more to build the same thing if you did all the labor and fab yourself
@nickadkins77652 жыл бұрын
Depends if you want to do a drift setup, or just a turbo daily. The price gap is huge depending on your goals for your car

At that 7psi low boost do you think the stock vvti rods would hold up. Did you do the ge block just to bulletproof. Im reqlly toying with building an sc vs a z as im a toyota guy at heart
@RADIndustries2 жыл бұрын
The stock vvti bottom end would have been fine. I wanted it extra tough for adding power later
@nickadkins77652 жыл бұрын
Yea man for sure. Generally 420whp tuned properly is the cutoff for vvti rods. There's a guy on youtube who turboed his is300 with stock ecu, and he's making 7psi around 300whp reliably for the last 15k miles. Just has a boost guage, and afr guage to make sure they stay in the right parameters. Super budget setup, but it works. Says he's done it to 3 cars so far with no issues. Only charges $3k parts AND labor to do it lol

I come across these videos a while back,and I was wondering if you could help me out with a few questions or a break down list of part’s I would need in order to run this same system that you have on this car on my 01 GS300 ? I’ve tried watching your videos back to back but it’s hard for me to figure out everything saying 🤷and I just don’t want to get anything wrong,”when ordering everything on your site cause I see you have a lot of stuff I’d need” !!! I know your a very busy person,so I’m asking with a big please and thank you for your time and effort to help me with these questions! 🙏🏻🫡
