I'm gonna miss the Black Eagle so much. I often drive through the desert and loved road trips because I could listen to all four hours of the Madison show...I will be more active, because now that he's gone, we all have to step up and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I was so lucky to first find Joe Madison on a local D.C.-area radio station around 1994, and then lucky to re-find him on WOL, and then on Sirius XM. All his listeners would have followed him anywhere, he took our spirits, minds, and consciousness to higher levels of awareness and activism.

The best thing that came out of getting a new car back in 2013 was the SiriusXM radio that was included. The life changing jewel from that was discovering Joe Madison and the entire Urban View lineup. He made an indelible impact on me as a lover of black history and culture. He energized me to become more civically engaged. His legacy will continue through all whose hearts and minds he touched.💕✊🏾

Today is February 20,2024. I turned it on Madison classics this morning because I knew that Joe Madison cancer had come back. But what I didn't know was that he passed away😢. I was listening to Karen Hunter show towards the end and that's when I found out he passed. 😢😢😢 When I heard Karen Hunter say "Joe Madison said when he die Sirius XM it's just going to replace me". Karen Hunter just announced they still have him on the airways playing the Madison classics. I pray for Mrs. Sherry and the family and the crew. Damn I'm going to miss him cussing out some callers. I used to wake up early just to listen to the show. RIP in POWER ❤❤❤ Back in 2015 I started listening to Sirius XM. And I was surfing channels Urban View popped up. The Karen Hunter show and cousin Sil. And the next day when I got in my car that's when I was introduced to the Joe Madison show.
