That means you were using the wrong keys. I'd the radio removal keys dont engage enough the locking mechanism doesn't fully release.

@@Enfig no, first type they were definitely wrong, the I got the right ones. But was very hard to move it. On the other side no one touched it for 17 years, maybe plastic/rubber glued a little.

does this key for the Navigation Plus system there also on the Audi TT? i bought the keys with the holes/gaps in the middle and they don't grab

Yes our keys work for the RNSE also. Not all keys are the same. I have seen keys on amazon that look like ours but have a different cut.

If ur replacing with another factory radio is there any codes u have to worry about ?

Yes most Audi factory radios need a code that you have to pay the dealership in order to unlock.

There are many tools that reset the airbag. I do t have any recommendations because I use an expensive one. Just google Audi airbag reset tool.

If you disconnect the radio from power do you need to reenter the PIN? Or Audio concert/chorus doesnt require a PIN?

Usually the car will remember its own radio. It will not remember a radio that has been replaced.

Yo im installing a subwoofer in my audi tt and I have this exact same stereo do you know if it has RCA connector?

The factory radio does not have RCA outputs.

I added a sub by just using the back speaker inputs. Can get an amp that allows speaker inputs instead of rca, or buy the adapter that goes from speaker input to rca. Basically it will save from running wire from the radio to the amp, just grab from the back speaker (in trunk) to the amp. Good luck!

I recommend ordering the tools. They are very cheap. I have seen people make parts and the part breaks off into the radio.

If you ordered our keys call us up but some keys don't retract the locking tabs all the way. And the problem is that once they are in they are stuck.

Hi I want to replace the cd/radio in my convertible tt 2008 tdi. Can I replace it with the audi satnav radio. Ps I Don't have any controls on the steering wheel. Thanks dave from England.

I don't do OEM swaps but I'm pretty sure you can. Just make sure you get a radio code from the dealership.
