I was just thinking about being 16, in high school, in 1999 and spending about 45 minutes downloading this 4.5 minute song, and treasuring the experience of watching a single video of my favorite band play live. We've come a long way to KZbin in not so long a time.

naapooliitaanoo was it specifically made for the film though or was it just used before the album came out do you know? Lyrics certainly imply it was made for the film yet it wasn't on the soundtrack which makes me wonder. I do know it's not about fucking groupies though lol

I have a totally different perspective on this song even tho it may be completely false.. For me, The lyrics of this song are said by a young girl’s imaginary friend who gives her suggestions and ideals to keep fighting and not lose hope after years of physical or mental abuse from her father.. The “We hope that you choke” lines are said by the imaginary friend to the father..

3:35 This part of the song is probably the most emotional thing I've ever heard and seen in my whole life. Great, great, great artists!
