Yes weirdly! The studio version sounds less produced. This version has such beautiful drenched reverb on the synth. The studio version lacks that and also seems to have an overly low attack for some reason. Too rigid.

Identikit as we currently know it is likely to sound completely different in its final version. If I'd only heard the live version of TKoL I'd never have guessed it would sound like it does on the album, not to mention that this might be an early version and there'll be some slight changes to the final version, so if you're not entirely satisfied with its sound, don't think this is what you'll get as final result.

Also, the transition from the first verse to the "broken hearts" part is better in the studiio version. For the rest, this version is "better", at least if you listen to it alone - for the album, the album version is more fitting, I think that's why they made it that way.

Not sure if it will be their best, these songs are a bit more poppy compared to OK Computer or Kid A (what I consider their best stuff), but one thing's for sure.. it will be utterly incredible. Huge shift from The King of Limbs' sound, much more mature.. seems like their becoming more in touch with rhythms and grooves through electronics and synths that they've been trying to perfect while still keeping their older rock style.

Agreed. Nigel's production has sapped the life out of the past two Radiohead albums. That's why everyone loves King of Limbs live more. For some reason the recent work by Nigel has been obsessed with making a band that sounds like they aren't even in the same room. The Wall Of Eyes sounds so organic and lush, the most warm sounding stuff Thom has worked on since In Rainbows.

The synthesizer in this song can also be heard towards the end of Myxamotosis. Something similar is also frequently used in Nigel Godrich's new project. "Ultraista."

Can someone please make a version that’s this but with Jonny’s guitar solo at the end? Bonus points if you include the little punctuation licks throughout the song that eventually erupt into the solo. I need the perfect version of Identikit so badly
