I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Radiohead is NOT a one-hit wonder. I only knew "Creep" until someone lent me "OK Computer" in 1997 on CD to listen to (old school). The opening track, "Airbag," is so good, I knew then they were no one-hit wonder, and I'd been missing out. The second track on "OK Computer" is "Paranoid Android." My favorite track on the album is "Let Down." After listening to that LP, I went back and visited everything they'd done to that point. "The Bends" is an exceptional album. I've followed the band ever since. My favorite album of theirs is "In Rainbows." My favorite song of theirs is "Fake Plastic Trees" from "The Bends."

Radiohead draw from such a wide range of styles in their catalogue outside of the typical Rock genres; Punk, Funeral Jazz, Trip-Hop, Bossa Nova, Waltz, Ambient, Electronic, Cinematic/Orchestral, etc. If you only know Creep and Paranoid Android so far, you may be unaware of their overall genre-defying versatility.

"Like Spinning Plates" by Radiohead is an interesting song, and it is SO DIFFERENT in the live version (from "I Might Be Wrong") than the version on the album "Amnesiac." It would be incredibly cool if you would contrast them. Almost like two TOTALLY different songs, that is how different they are.

The whole album will blow your mind. Radiohead have several albums that are perfect but which ones those are varies from person to person. Everybody likes this I've though. Great reaction. Apparently this song was a reaction to some yuppies in an LA wine bar who kicked off at the band and eventually got them ejected. But i think you would have to have been there to grasp the full meaning

Also Thom yorke said he based it partially on happiness is a warm gun by the Beatles the way it’s like 3 songs intertwined. Ok computer is like a modern version of the white album to me. (Even though it’s not that modern now - both albums in places sound very modern to me)

@@MusicForTheSoulReactions Redbone is an American rock band from the 70'. They were composed by four musicians who all were Natives. They had major hits (one of them makes the opening scene of The Guardians of the Galaxy I). I wrote their story for a French publisher in a graphic Novel format. It was translated in the USA. Was a rather successful book. I did interviews of the remaining band members. I can send you the PDF if you want. It's a band you should do once. Try their hits Come And Get Your Love or The Witch Queen Of New Orleans or Maggie.

Another classic. "Dark and grungy" is apt for 'Creep' but it would be also be apt for this tune. Finger plucking.....does this remind me of Genesis? (everything does)

You like finger plucking? Well hey, I just checked your vid library and I don’t see Dire Straits there. Mark Knopfler, the band leader, vocalist and guitarist is famous for his plucking style on electric guitar. If you’ve not heard the song Sultans of Swing, I would recommend you start there. You might have heard their big hit from their debut album Money For Nothin’. And, oh yeah…..don’t forget your strung-out Zepheads waiting for their next fix! 😏😉

Didn't see this one coming. You know me, I've seen them several times, love 'em. I think you'll really like most of the songs from the album "The Bends". They switch styles after OK Computer and went more electronic. Moon Shape Pool is a great album. Most of their stuff is great. I do have to confess, Thom Yorke (vocals) andJohnny Greenwood's new project, The Smile, are not something I've checked out. Maybe I'll wait for you to react. US Roadie 1 signing off.

When you start reacting to groups and artists I don't like, they'll probably be things I've never seen live. Also, I only started going to live shows around '76/'77. And even then it was only a few a year.
