I'd tell all my friends but they'd never believe me, They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely. I'd show them the stars and the meaning of life. They'd shut me away. But I'd be alright, alright,

The overall vocal tone of the lyrics, and the fact that "I'm just uptight" comes afterwards means that the singer is either lying when they say they are alright, or is in extreme denial of their own emotional unstability.

It's an old cliche, but that's always how you know. The funny thing is I had written off OK Computer for YEARS because I thought it was empty production by hipsters. TOTAL ignorance. Nowadays I think it's the finest album of the 90s.

This version was my first introduction to them in 97’. Heard this acoustic bootleg album over and over again. Was so full and raw. To this day I prefer this version to the final album version. For an acoustic song, it has so much going on. Amazing

Radiohead has always been one of my favorites and Nick Drake has become one as well. When I hear this stripped down version it reminds me quite a bit of Nick Drake, the song Parasite specifically. Does anyone know for certain this is Thom and Jonny?

Now I get why Jonny used the octave up from his wammy because the original part was on 12 String
@luckylayne3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t necessarily say that. When they did acoustic stuff Thom or Jonny would use a 12 string. If anything he’d use the octave harmony setting if he wanted to replicate a 12 string.
@jaydenwhitlen14893 жыл бұрын
@@luckylayne I’m not really understanding your point here. I was saying it looks like Jonny used the wammy octave function to replicate the high notes played on the 12 String
