RadioLink RC4GS - 4S Kraton Upgrade

If you have any of the recent Arrma releases, you know one thing for a fact...the stock controller that comes with them needs replaced BADLY!
We picked up this Kraton 4S from a friend, Rich D! He had already replaced the stock controller with the older style Tactic, which we normally love. However, as they age, they also have issues with the power switch.
After reading some reviews, and talking to some key people online, we decided to give this RadioLink RC4GS a chance.
First impressions are that it is a good radio for the price. Has some good features, including a gyro - which I expect will come in handy with James driving this vehicle.
Further testing to come, but so far, we are very happy with this controller!

Amen. Nothing above 3s should come without a gyro. I can barely keep the thing straight not mentioning lining up for a jump.

Thanks for noticing! Yes, a 1971 Chevelle - it has been with me for quite some time. Yes, the 3S and 4S line of Arrma vehicles are all plastic chassis.

Do you know if you can set it to 50% or 75% throttle like the original receiver. I just got it and haven’t messed with it yet. I like that setting when giving it to little kids.

You know, we tried the Fly Sky and were really not impressed. It seemed to have issues with the steering. No matter how much I adjusted it, it would not fully turn in both directions. Just may give this one a try. Btw... is that a new Roadside RC hoodie? Lol

We have two Flysky radios that have done well for us. One of them is on my drift car. The hoodie is old in fact! Rich D gave it to me as a birthday/Christmas present!

@@RoadsideRC Yeah, I don't know if it was a Tactic servo issue or the Fly Sky. Either way we gave up. That Radio Link looks a bit more intuitive tho. I've seen them on Amazon but haven't really looked at them closely until now. Nice, that it has 6 channels and the Gyro. Because the James (Hotrod) on our channel could use that kind of assistance as well... lol

Yeah, we are normally happy with the Tactic, but the power switch was going out on it. For the price, this seems a good choice. Good call on EPA settings!

Nice video. I just unboxed my typhon 6s, I thought the stock radio was a sick joke. Put the rc4gs in it.

I have the same transmitter and the batteries push the cover off. Do you have this issue?

How many vehicles can be programmed to it? I have the flysky and it can do 10 vehicles. But I’m with your son it should tell you how fast your going that would be cool

I am not sure if it can switch between models. I didn't clearly see that in the instructions. James was very interested in that display!
