Hi…im new with radiomaster (openTX) and i just bought a night radian with a spektrum AR 631 receiver and i manage to bind it and works all fine but…im unable to assign a safe select switch…whatever i do i do it wrong because so far it didn’t work. I watch many KZbinrs but no one worked fir me. Please can you help me posting a video on how to……? it would be very helpfully to me. Thanks 🙏 P.s. my receiver spektrum AR631 doesn’t have safe select channel pre assigned but it has this function.

hey buddy. Its sean up here in western MA.I bought a brand new AT6 texan. Its a horizon eflite brand.no longer in circulation. Its the silver and blue one. It has as3x With safe select. I can get it to bind to my radio master tx16s but i dont know how to get the as3x working and safe select. I would like to put them on a 3 position switch..It has a AR636A reciever. Have u bound to these before?. Or got them to work on 3 position switch?..

Hey Sean, what's up? How is RC flying going? I bound my TX16S to another AS3X plane, but it did not have SAFE technology, just AS3X: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r17QZKyLi7yCftE You can see it fly here, very stable in wind, but auto-leveling its wings (which is a SAFE feature): kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqGZi4aficaXoMU As far as I know, AS3X is on by default, and I heard that on most planes you cannot turn it off from the transmitter. There is a way of putting SAFE on one of the switches, but I have not done it yet. Good luck!

@@PropsWheels its going great flying up here!. yes I have also bound to planes with as3x with safe. But they were a separate as3x and safe system (from the receiver). I have the fms 800mm corsair. It came with a separate as3x gyro with safe system. I put it on a 3 position switch, gyro off, assist and safe/auto leveling. I then used an RM168 receiver.... However I have NOT been able to figure it out for a receiver with built in safe. I WAS able to bind it with nothing on, then flip a switch for ch 7 and safe came on. But I couldn't get all 3 options (off, assist, safe) on the switch. Not a lot of info out there yet. Thanx buddy, keep up the vids!..

No, each time you switch transmitters, you need to rebind to your plane. There is a unique identifier code that needs to match between the receiver and transmitter.

No, this airplane does not have the SAFE technology with different levels of assistance. It just has the AS3X stabilization (to keep it flying stably against wind), and I do not know a way to turn it off.

This MIG 15 does not have the SAFE technology, so your binding procedure would be different. With larger planes, you pull the bind plug out after connecting the battery in order to activate SAFE Select. @@PropsWheels this plane is the the ultra micro eflite A10 thunderbolt 11 30 mm edf that I'm trying to get safe to work. it just came out not long ago it doesn't have a bind plug On the UMX. Bit I got it to bind and reversed all channels working then assigned a 3 position switch on channel 5 and also tried on channel six and still safe select not working . I don't know what else to try .

my local hobby shop told me that if i bought the tx16s transmitter it wont bind in a receiver that has as3x and safe technology and if it did it wont be functional is that correct? or was he just trying to upsell to on buying a spektrum transmitter. please help

Hi Quinn. The TX16S definitely works with AS3X. I have already bound it to two airplanes with AS3X and flown them with the stabilization. I have not tried it with SAFE, but I heard that you can set it up on this radio as well, but I cannot confirm it yet. I hope this helps. Good luck! 👍

Hobby shops get serious $$$ when they push spektrum. Especially if they can get you in on a 5/6 channel tx, then in a month, u need something with more channels. Since Christmas, 2020 I bought a new DX6e. Wasn't enough tx. January, bought the nx6. 2 weeks ago, bought the NX8. I'm ordering THIS one the 1st if april. (I'm 99.9% sure I'll love this 1!)

@@old-rcplane-phart He's trying to upsell you, it's not a better product, it's just proprietary. Get a TX16, either Radiolink/Eachine and you wont ever need to buy a TX again. It very much does work on SAFE, I have it binded and a three channel switch on my Carbon Cub

All my Horizon Hobby and other Spektrum planes have been AETR. I never had to change the order on my TX16S for them.

Sorry mate. I am subbed to your channel and usually enjoy your videos. However posting videos with the sound badly obscured by extraneous noise such as wind, traffic etc is unnecessary these days with ADR editing BUT obscuring the audio of an inside effort with crap background noise is just brainless! However, using the word "brainless" while giving the feedback is disrespectful in my book and will accomplish nothing other than alienating the person receiving the feedback. A simple "Hey, the background music is distracting" would have been so much more constructive and would have reciprocated a positive and desired response.
