On todays episode I will shoot and compare these two budget bows and tell you which one I would pick if I was in the market for a budget hunting bow. Thanks for watching.

great I can't wait for the next video.im going to buy me a new bow and your videos help me get an idea which bows I want to try. I have been curious about the diamond brand of bows I believe they are made by bowtech. so far I'm leaning toward a mathews v3 27 or v3x 29

It’s just made by Bear so I think the thing to note is if you think you want a Bear maybe just get this one and save a couple bucks.

@@RealRadNek yeah on paper it’s got nice specs for the price, $550 for the rth package and will be my first bow if I decide to get it, thanks

Just a quick look at the Cabelas Uproar specs, bow speed is good and they accomplish that by the short brace hight (6.25"). As a beginner bow it will probably be alright but the bow will be less forgiving than one with say a 7" brace hight but the trade off is slower speeds. Bear makes a great bow for sure. That's who manufactures the Uproar. You will want to go to Cabelas and shoot it and I think their range is maybe 15 yards? Just get one pin close then pick a dot and shoot 10-12 arrows with your pin on the dot every shot. If the arrow is hitting in the same spot every time, then it means you are able to shoot the bow consistently. If you hold the pin on the dot every shot and your getting arrows going all over the place either your form is bad or the short brace hight could be creating accuracy issues for you.

Also my initial thought on the Blackout Epic x2 is that when I did shoot the two Blackout bows I did shoot, there was a lot of hand shock and they did not feel like smooth shooting bows to me. Just looking at the specs, personally I wouldn't avoid this bow simply because of the weight coming in at 5#s. I do not even consider buying a bow that eighs more than 4.5#s as lugging that thing around my public land hunting spots or even on my private ground, every ounce counts. But I also wouldn't want to get too light as it can affect accuracy. So I look for a bow in the 3.8#-4.5# range. Others may see it differently. All the best.

@@RealRadNek You are very welcome. I do have one question. If I have to choose between Bear Alaskan and Divergent then which one is better?
@RealRadNek
@RealRadNek Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I have not shot those bows but I do know Bear makes some good bows.

@@RealRadNek I see. Actually I was wondering which size? The Alaskan is 32 inch axle-to-axle and let off about 85%. The Divergent is 28 inch and let off upto 90%.
@RealRadNek
@RealRadNek Жыл бұрын
Having not shot those bows, I would not know how they "feel" on the shot. But looking at specs I can make some general observations. The Alaskan, with a longer axle to axle and brace height of 6.25 compared to the Divergent's shorter 28" and longer BH at 6.5" is probably a wash as far as accuracy and comfort goes. The shorter the brace height means more speed but usually creates a less forgiving bow that requires the shooter to get everything right in form before releasing the arrow or you'll have a flier. In my mind, my determining factor on which one would be where I was hunting. If I was out West in open land spot and stock situations all the time, I might go with the Alaskan. But if I was mostly hunting in tree stands and blinds, I'd go with the Divergent. I shoot the Mathews V3 at 27" Axle to Axle. The riser is nearly 27" long so it shoots more like a 31" axle to axle bow. The reason I like the shorter bows is I hunt out of a tree saddle, tree stands, box blinds and tent blinds. The longer the bow is the more there is to get in the way. Hope that helps.

"I don't shoot competition"... no offense but that much is clear based on your draw technique. It's a wonder you haven't messed your shoulder up yet.

We’ll mr class 2 gun, if you had been watching my channel you would know that I pull exactly the way I do because I have impingement in my shoulders so I have taken time to build up the muscles necessary to pull the way I do so I won’t live in constant pain. Thanks for the armchair coaching. All the best to you.

“…no offense but…”. Maybe you should re-evaluate your post as you were clearly being sarcastically demeaning and you don’t even know me or my situation. Truly sad when people feel free to rip another person even though they don’t know them. Like I said I truly wish you all the best.

@@RealRadNek not at all. You are clearly drawing that bow wrong. Your draw arm should be up high. Not in front of your chest. Go watch the top archers in the nation and you'll see what I'm talking about. If you're gonna put yourself on KZbin, be prepared to get called out for being wrong. If you can't handle that, then the internet is not the place for you
@RealRadNek

I really could care less what top archers do to pull their bow back to locked and loaded position. It’s the release that counts. Did you not read my first message? Go back and read it and you’ll know why I have to pull the way I do. And sure my stuff is public but it doesn’t mean I have to enjoy nitpickers. There’s always options to go to another channel if it pains you to see the way I pull my bow back. All the best.

My new Blackout Distinct ($530)suffers from horizontal nock travel. The bow has NEVER shot a bullet - through paper. The Whisker Bisquit tames this problem somewhat. Since it is the lower cam that leans and causes the problem, it cannot be fixed! I do not recommend this excuse for a bow.
@RealRadNek
@RealRadNek 6 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried returning the bow? Sounds like a manufacturing defect.

@@RealRadNek Actually, yesterday I put a .024" piece of feeler gauge under the lower, left limb. This sprung the lower cam straight and I'm getting no more right nock tear, through paper. Today I'm working on vertical nock travel, now that horizontal travel is 'fixed'. Retarding the lower cam by 2 twists of the C.C. seems to be working. (all adjustments on this bow are counter-intuitive!) Try laying an arrow against the right side of the lower cam on a Blackout bow, I'll bet the cam leans into the string.

@@cloudtge1314 well, since were both beyond 16 and beyond getting our feelings hurt, will you forgive an old man who’s been shooting archery for about 50 years who happens to believe that there are more important things in life than just archery? Can I throw a little truth in there too and maybe get some folks to think, maybe about things they neglect to think about? It seems to have caught your attention. Would you be as bothered as you seem to be if I was pushing you to buy hunting boots rather than Jesus? Just sayin’. Why do people get so upset with Jesus when all He ever did was die on the cross and rise from the dead so it would be possible for you to have personal relationship with the God who is responsible for you even existing. All the best and happy bow shopping.
