The radon fan needs to be replaced. All radon systems will collect some water. Turning off the radon fan during a rain storm is a bad choice. None of the rain will be diverted from the airflow. The piping needs to be properly solvent welded to allow rain water and condensation to drain to the suction point. If rain water is excessive a special rain cap can be installed. They are sold by RadonAway.

Looks like installers run out of PVC glue . And yes unplugging was a bad idea. If u having noise issues, you might want to look at actual CFM that your system really needs. Dead giveaway is the missing glue at the 4” coupling.

Thanks for the comment. After a couple of years, I realized the problem: house settling. When the foundation settled a bit, it shifted the alignment of the pipes, causing the seal to break. Perhaps they didn't use glue but that was part of the issue. It's working great and haven't had any problems since we replaced the fan.

Radon fan installed above bedroom? Not a good idea.

The fan was not the problem...it was the installation that was the issue

WE GET IT! For God's sake. We get it. It's leaking... Holy hell, move on to whatever it is you're trying to say. It leaked, we understand! i can't believe I'm yelling at my computer right now. Ugh. This is so frustrating to watch. The problem is NOT the damned leaks. It's the RADON fan. Get to the point!
