OK, Lulu Sun has no prior victories that can be measured as great as what she did today. She is ranked 123 for very good reason and ranking is a measure of consistency in 52 weeks of a year. She did not play the FO because she lost the last qualifying match to a player than ranked much lower than her, she only won 3 games. What is stunning is the result she got in the past week, she made it past the qualify round then beat No.8 seed in first round, managed to beat Zhu Lin and Raducanu. She is playing a game that we are not expecting from someone ranked 123 in the world. That is what is stunning about her. When I watched her match against Zhu Lin, it was stunning to see she actually save 15 out of 18 break points she faced in the match, she played way better on these pressure points for someone with her ranking. She worked full time for this tornement surface, played at home and she was severely beaten by a qualifier! Shame on her!!

emma had an easy draw and still blew it

It's weird to see people say "Wow she made it so far." as if they haven't been watching the last couple years. Wimbledon laid out an easy road for her to make a deep run and she blew it again. Typical British athlete.

@@hovz-zo8lf She just lost to a better grass court player, a really good one. I hope to see a lot more of Lulu. I love watching players with such variety and who are not afraid to use it.

Putinseva beated Iga, Lulu beated Emma, Navarro beate d Coco. They played incredibly well. Ladies' singles always have surprises, like last year. Now I cheer the Ice Cool Navarro for the title!!

Why STUNNED?? She is not a consistent player on tour or a Top 10 player. Wimbledon has its obvious bias!

Raducanu is a Kournikova of current times, but worse, minus the slam title (probably the only one in her career).

British press is over hyping Emma. Lets get real on her true level. She is still too much work to do. Specially in strength
@ricklee58453 ай бұрын
Of course the British press is overhyping Emma just as the American press is overhyping Coco etc.. Yes, she still has a lot of work to do - absolutely correct. Those "fans" who are expecting her to win a slam shortly after she's recovered from her operations are the same lonely boys who deride her when she loses.
