I used this castle once and although I liked it well enough, I do agree about the sparseness of the decor in some areas, particularly the kitchen. Using Jaxonz Positioner, L.V.X. Magick's Campfire Unleashed, and Narrative Loot I went through and redecorated it in all of the "bald" areas (more decorative clutter and themed storage), and the result in the end was quite nice.

The author wanted to recreate the architecture of a medieval castle. I know it's a fantastic game, but the game is inspired by medieval Northern European culture and architecture. I also installed some House MODs. Some are beautiful, but look like they're from another game...or maybe the house of an eccentric American billionaire. I watched all your videos, you are the best real estate agent in Tamriel.

I think I said it before: castles weren't those stone cold buildings as everyone imagines them to be. The reason we believe that to be the case is that we nowadays see only the rocky skeletons of these castles. Usually castles had drapery, tapestries and wall painting (floral paintings mostly for example) and wooden furniture as well as wood panels on the walls at the very least in the living quarters - these are mostly gone and therefore castles or castle like structures feel cold and spartan. But people lived there, at least in the parts of the building used to live in and it seems we think they weren't interested in making their living quarters liveable 😉. In my opinion game designers but also and I'm sorry to say that also mod authors seem to lack the imagination or the latter ones only use what they were given. I btw. definitely would need more warmth, even in a castle, maybe even more so because they are build out of stone.

Well the main reason is others ransacked these castles. No offense to anyone but this is true take the example of British Empire. They were colonists who ransacked the place they captured. Then there are others much earlier than that like Alexander who conquered a lot of regions etc.

I think the claw is in the basement somewhere in a container of some sort. I do remember finding it after much searching. As for the home itself while I did like the exterior the final home itself I found somewhat lacking. Like yourself, I found the kitchen area to be more than a bit bare and lacking clutter but even more than this there was no throne! A castle with no throne! Actually, to be fair there are plenty of castle player homes with no throne room or throne but the lack of one in this just stung for some reason likely because a lot of other things such as the pool room were so on point. While I'm well aware I could just use Jaxon positioner or Solitude Furniture and add my own I just couldn't think of any place to put one beyond the staircase on the lower floor of the player house. I'd rather have my throne above those stairs though and could not think of a good alternative. Anyway glad to see you're still at work showcasing these homes Feb. They are always a treat to watch!

I like the overall layout and design of this mod, but that's about it. I would have liked to see more done with the windows and better use of the space, it looks and feels very empty and dark. There are just too many things missing or not done very well for my taste, and I do love big castles. Very good video Feb.

For some reason the bedroom is always the most important part of a player home for me. I tend to store my valuables there and I like it to be cozy and cluttered. If I see a cold, boring, less decorated bedroom, i tend to not be interested in the house.

I think this could be called a hold. Or maybe a keep. I like it, especially the animals. I love the pool room in the player home. I agree that there could be more clutter. It's very nice, however. I think it's a bit gloomy - needs more lighting.

I'll have to think on this a bit, it's got some bright spots and some not so much my thing going on. Beards are not a problem, however all the up and down steps in a home that just looks a bit cold inside. Going the route EM S. has gone is always an option but...we shall see.

I agree it really does look a bit cold now you mention it. The Queen hasn't moved in to this castle for sure. The issue for me is that I don't have the time/am far too lazy to want to decorate a home myself when I have so many homes that have such sumptuous and lovely decoration already created for me.

Feels a bit rushed. Or he ran out of steam, gave up. Ceiling heights being lowered and somewhat better / more consistent lighting may have helped for starters. Has/had potential.

Lol..i cant use ck at all,but i found 2 mods thats can spruce up se a bit..snazzy furniture and clutter overhaul and solitude furniture..the solitude one i use to buy like dwemer benches,cooking pots,dock bridges,which i used to put a bridge at maple forest...random i know but good for a struggler like me🤓

I wonder who would mention this to you and even gets a video out of it?^^ Yeah some areas are severly lacking... unfortunately the announced update never came and so the last 3 years nothing happend and i dont know anyone that got permission to work that over and publish it... so yeah either you do a positioner massacre or so..or you work it thru CK and co yourself... still a very nice mod and atleast one of the castles that has some meaning, design that actually would work to some degree, has lots of features and life and isnt just a vast waste of space. still like it and use it quite often, but it got surpassed by Locasters Mods, especially the Citadel and co...so yeah some updating would be cool...but i guess that remains just wishful thinking. And yeah the Mod is quite old, first version came 2015 iirc and last update in 2017 - Ninja Edit: it was April 2016.
