A lot of the show is different from tbbt, its clear they didn’t write those characters originally to be a part of a bigger show. Sheldons dad was described as significantly worse in tbbt, they had to make everyone look a little better in the spin off

TBBT was strictly Sheldon’s perspective and opinions. Everyone is underneath him as in his eyes, he’s superior. We have his mom to thank for that bc of how everything and everyone were made to cater to Sheldon and his needs. Mary was an awful mother! Georgie actually did REALLY WELL for himself even tho we all know from TBBT that he and Mandy don’t work out in the long run. Everyone in Young Sheldon is different from what Sheldon made them out to be as an adult on TBBT.

I feel like the Georgie and Mandy spin-off show in a way would be The Coopers without Sheldon while still retaining the family plot lines. If you wanna tie in with TBBT how Georgie mentioned how he basically had take care of his mom and Missy while Sheldon was gone, with YS having him also dealing with taking care of Mandy and their daughter. Like there’s probably gonna be a plot involving Georgie and Mandy going through a divorce according to how in TBBT Sheldon mentions that Georgie has two ex wives, unless at some point they get back together.

Iain did a great job with the character, the problem is that Young Sheldon isn't a multicam sitcom, so the character couldn't be as loud and crazy as he was in Big Bang Theory. Also, because it's a prequel, the show couldn't evolve Sheldon or give him enough character arcs, so they decided to develop the side characters, making them more interesting than the lead.

The actors aren’t aging out… Young Sheldon is hitting the season in which George dies and Sheldon is the one that finds him. The show is having to figure out how if they’re even going to deal with it or go without since it’s ending. My guess is no and maybe deal with it on the spin-off as a passive part of the plot line.

The other characters showing up in the new show a couple times would work, obviously because family, but also there's a bit of distance as well, because the canon living locations for the characters. I hope she makes a cameo at some point, to show that Missy, Sheldon, and Georgie together as siblings, even after they've all gone off on their own as adults, while still keeping continuity with Big Bang Theory. As for the actress, hopefully Raegan grows into bigger and better roles.

Why does Netflix keep cancelling good shows? Its like they want their app to fail. This comment has nothing to do with Young Sheldon. It's just something that annoys me lol

Netflix has this weird business model that says shows that running for more than 3 seasons is counterproductive to attracting new subscribers. They also think it doesn't do much when it comes to retaining subscribers. They also decided to crack down on all the frivolous spending. Shows were being renewed even if they fell well below the viewer counts to get a 2nd or 3rd season. Largely due to relationships and politics over success. They rarely go past 3 seasons for any Netflix series, and that isn't likely to change unless they luck into a giant hit. In fact, 1-2 seasons are the norm, with 3 being unlikely and 4 being almost certain not to happen. So if your Netflix series reaches the end of season 3 without a conclusion... well, most likely, you are right and proper f*cked as you'll almost never get an ending.
