I'm about 90% improved and watching your channel has given me the information I need to realize that recovery is possible and how to actually take care of myself! I left all the support groups as well because there was just so much negativity and it was the crabs in the bucket situation, unfortunately. You're awesome Raelen! You are making a difference for so many people and giving people hope that recovery is a reality! I was in such a terrifying place 9 months ago when this all started but I know I will fully recover and will never give up!

@@satiatedghost9216 I started on 20mg a day for a week. I read that this is a normal loading phase and then I should go down to 5mg a day as a maintenance dose. But all my aches and pains came back after a few days on 5mg so I went up to 10mg a day. Did a 2 hour hike yesterday. I feel great!

I am a mum of 3 ages 3,5 and 18. After having my youngest I was never the same and started to go downhill, only recently realising this is the condition I have. Fir the first 2.5 years my daughter woke screaming every night 20-50 times shocking me out of my sleep. I believe this is what broke my brain initially. Because my middle son was only 17 months older it was chaos all day with both of them fighting and screaming, visits to a and e. It's been so tough and it messed up my ANS and I now believegot me stuck in fight or flight. My daughter almost 4 and still often wakes repeatedly, she's a sensitive girl. Tenisha thanks for sharing your story, you've given me hope. It must have been so tough to manage and I'm glad you had your partners mum to help you! I've ordered some creatine in the hope it might help! Thanks for your hope 🙏

I think fatigue is really an inaccurate word bc healthy people aren’t getting it. I didn’t get it. Fatigue reminds me of a gentle but normal tiredness after massive exertion. Like a race horse might be fatigued after the derby & need a nap. But LC/ME/CFS fatigue feels like walking through 10’ of wet concrete all day. Not just walking but living through it, thinking through it. Feels like living in the upside down, cells suffocating. Like being poisoned. We need a better word to express this so people can explain it to their Drs. ❤️

Hey, very valuable infos here. I am waiting to meet a Doctor Specialized on CFS in a couple of month and this video reminds me to not expect too much from this meeting. Indeed, the Doc is likely to give me a diagnosis (or not) and that's it.. The only thing I expect from this meeting is to get a proper diagnosis and finally get more understanding from friends and relatives. I also will search for Creatine too, looks interesting. Nice work for your recovery Tenisha. You look great.

thank you both for sharing the evidence and hope that recovery is possible. i really appreciated all the insights. I could really relate to what you said Tenisha about the additional challenge of trying to educate (convince!) others about the illness, even while we're trying to reach an understanding of it ourselves - all while being weighted down by the fatigue and devastating impact on our lives, generally in the absence of any beneficial support from the so-called experts. I could really relate to your descriptions of what it was like for you; and you came across really clearly and coherently to me. I celebrate both your recoveries. Thank you again, Sarah, NZ

She's really clever. I had the same kind of thoughts feeling like I was in a marathon for normal life activity but l didn't apply it practically like she did. Now I know it's a change in metabolism to anaerobic respiration. Creatine sounds really perfect! I take other amino acids and they help. The anaerobic metabolism burns amino acids. Research by Christopher Armstrong shows this.
@catherinefaull55902 жыл бұрын
Well I say I didn't apply it but I finally did after 10 years because of reading Chris Armstrong PHD and I recovered really quickly on amino acids.

Your channel is incredible . Congrats! I don’t think I’ve seen a better channel so far. I like I see you sometimes comment other channels I love. I saw one in a video of Dr. Teitelbaum. ( my main physician). One thing that makes me a little uncomfortable when I see videos of CFS ; fibro; mold … is that they usually mention complete recovery , but when you warch to them, most people have to follow complex routines and feel just 70-85% better, with lots of relapses. No one seems to have a complete picture , long lasting, or do they? /: such a weird complex Situation

This illness is so misunderstood and people have to battle on to survive. I totally agree with you that their should be better treatment options and support. Unfortunately I didn't have support and I am now 25 years later still ill. I was initially severe then moderate to mild. Got pregnant and had a bad pregnancy and ended up four years later as a single parent with very little support and I've gone mild to severe to mild several times over the years. Each time I started to recover I got a virus or something happened to cause stress and I would be back at severe again. I have been searching and chasing recovery a very long time. The Creatine powder makes sense so I've just ordered some. I have not given up but life has thrown me lots of curve balls and my struggle continues. The biggest thing I will say is medication ie strong pain killers like Tramadol, Codeine and Pregabalin or Gabapentin help very temporarily but cause so many bad side effects and withdrawing off them is a nightmare and in the long term do not help but telling people that doesn't go down well! I think people who have been ill a long time as in decades are not meaning to be nay sayers but they just have given up and are trying to survive. You do also get ones who their whole life is the illness which I agree is very draining. I run a support group in my area which is anything but wallowing in self pity but we are there to have a laugh, lift people up and be with people who understand which is so important in a world where majority of people think it's not a real illness. Keeping my fingers crossed xxx

I can also understand that people get negative and feel helpless after years with this illness. I have been working with guidance and coaching for many years, and what intrigues me is how different we are when coping with hard things in our lives. Keep up the chase for your recovery Rosie😊.

Just an update: I have been taking Creatine plus multi vitamin and also Folic Acid and D3 + K2 vitamins and I don't know which is helping, maybe all, but I am seeing a slow improvement from being severe to now being able to go out the house a couple of times a week and doing small tasks around the house. Only a small improvement but I'm going in the right direction now. I've also nearly totally cut out sugar from my diet as I was diagnosed as prediabetic in March. X
