Why do you blame it on the wrestlers for making the fight boring? Blame it on the opponent for not having the answers for wrestling, if you're a brilliant striker and you get totally dominated by a wrestler then it's your fault for making the fight boring for lacking the skills to scrap on the ground, look at Izzy or Jones, they're strikers but they don't let wrestlers do their work

I mean not a super good comparison for Jones and adesanya. Since they’ve both even on the feet have had “boring” fights. And ya know I’m ok with wrestling but after awhile it definitely takes a toll and gets a little boring. Some wrestlers just want to hold on for dear life and make no adjustments other than holding the opponent that just gets boring undoubtedly. I could watch a grappling match but after awhile I’ll give a big yawn and go on my phone lmao. And it wouldn’t technically be the strikers fault completely because the wrestler has to be the one to engage in the grappling for a prolonged period of time for it to be “boring”

It ain’t strikers complaining, it’s martial artist, Khabib accomplished nothing. He left when his prime begun. He fought old men like RDA. To pad his record, he never fought a fresh and young bjj artist like Oliveira, he never challenged himself, the only good fighters be beat were his last 3. He had only 3 title defenses, never went up weight, he will easily be surpassed. He demonstrated wrestling not mma, If all u do is strike u aren’t a martial artist either, if all u do is wrestle, you aren’t a martial artist, , it’s boring when that’s all you do. Petr Yan mixes it up better than anyone in the ufc. Like an actual mix martial artist. I think u should be well rounded as a martial artist, not just what works. it all should work if you are a true martial artist, if u know everything but wrestling is the only thing that works then u can’t be considered a martial artist and that’s it. I don't respect anyone who dare say he's a martial artist and say this or that style. If it works it works, the whole point of mma is to find what is effective. This reminds me of the old boxing idea that leg kicks are cowardly, because it's a good way to neutralize them. Likewise Strikers will say the same because wrestling neutralizes them. Since ancient times wrestling was both a core military training and competition component, I don't see how one would call himself a martial artist and say it's "boring". I can see the fans saying that because half of the time they are clueless about what is going on and only see two men hugging each other. For a fighter to say that, it says a lot about them.....

Oh yea ur def more of a martial artist than Rafael fiziev with over 200 amateur Muay Thai fights and amateur titles as well as pro titles mhmmm. You can still criticize a style, and have a preference. And for a lot of people not just “casuals” heavy wrestling styles are boring like they’re not at times the most fun to watch it’s just facts, there’s a reason people like to watch a good fight on the feet. You never hear anyone call Tony a weight bully though, seems like some people just want to discredit Khabib's accomplishments. He actually walks around 180-190. Also, walk around weight doesn't mean much. The number that really matters is the amount of water you cut. Cutting weight is not achieved via simple nutrition and exercise. The body is damaged by severe and rapid dehydration, not by someone deciding to go on a hypocaloric diet for a few weeks to lose weight.

Hating on Khabib because he's a wrestler, like it's easy to do. Khabib was wrestling damn bears while most of us were still in our nappies. The guy never drank, didn't party after wins, he spent his life mastering his craft. Yes he retired too early, but I think his excuse is more than reasonable. His dad taught him everything and after he passed away, he gave his word to his mom. There's all these excuses saying he needed more title defences and needed this and that. But in all honesty. Khabib could have finished 50-0 and 20+ title defences. That's how good he was.

It takes huge amount of power and strength to keep a grown man down on his back or knees. If you beat somebody standing and they KOed, it is their body that gives up. So thay are good with the opponent. But when you get wrestled down the mat and submitted by your opponent, you give up yourself with your mind involved. And that is the reason, people after getting defeated by a wrestler feel more lost.

Love me some Fiziev. One of the best strikers in the game but MMA fighters who primarily strike are ANNOYING when they complain about wrestling / grappling based fighters. Like an actual mix martial artist. I think u should be well rounded as a martial artist, not just what works. it all should work if you are a true martial artist, if u know everything but wrestling is the only thing that works then u can’t be considered a martial artist and that’s it. It’s a reason why boxing is boxing, and wrestling is wrestling, if u come to mma u need to be Showing it all, not just what works for you.

To pad his record, he never fought a fresh and young bjj artist like Oliveira, he never challenged himself, the only good fighters be beat were his last 3. He had only 3 title defenses, never went up weight, he will easily be surpassed. And that's why the wrestlers dominate the game. It's a superior skill to just throwing punches. BJJ again is superior to striking. But to be the best in MMA you must be able to do all of it. Before Khabib got to defend his belt, like 90% of people were all on his nuts for how boring he is. But as he kept winning they jumped bandwagons and now they're religiously attacking everyone who doesn't share their opinion. You can't call people idiots and casuals for not appreciating wrestling heavy fighters, when number 1: as you can see there are professional fighters sharing that view and number 2: Khabib was way too dominant on the ground, to even make it competitive. Don't see the point in hating on Rafael for stating he doesn't like uneventful, wrestling heavy fights. Rarely anyone would choose that over a stand up banger. I get it's Khabib, but he was generalizing about wrestlers, don't see many of them being represented and defended like Khabib.
