ALL HAIL THE GODDESS I FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE RECEIVED THIS HOLY HYMN ON MY BIRTHDAY. YOU SNEAKY SNEAK YOU COMPLETELY SURPRISED ME, MY 60 YEAR OLD HEART IS RACING FROM EXHILARATION!! “Destroy Lyra!” YOU’VE DONE IT IM DESTROYED. The minute I heard the opening chants with that gorgeous picture fading into view I knew I was done for. Wrecked. D e s t r o y e d. Goddess where do I even begin - my song goddess singing one of my favorite Disney songs, at times sultry and enticing, at times raw and desperate, and all throughout so groundshakingly POWERFUL? (I mean godDAMN that note at the end, every hair on my body literally stood up as that note washed over me in all of its raw emotion and POWER.) Your voice carries a alluring yet haunting quality that brings out the obsessive undertones of the lyrics and it is *so* delicious. And oh goodness that VA - the little growl you had at the end with “burn down all of *Paris* “ like please just take me I’m not hiding, I’m literally flinging myself into your arms TAKE ME GODDESS. And don’t even get me started on the picture because the second that faded in my eyes were glued to the artwork as the song played. Flame!Lyra is so beautifully drawn with Priest!Raf nuzzling into her shoulder, and the flickering flames combined with your beautiful voice chanting and serenading me in the background was the most mesmerizing experience - I’m pretty sure that’s what a religious trance felt like ahhhh 💗 BREATHES. It’s now been a day since my birthday and I’ve spent a lot of it repeatedly tapping the replay button - listening to it as I work, humming to it while I walk around the house, blasting it in the car with my mom (you’re welcome). Yanderaf strikes again with the yandere birthday songs - and I am totally okay with this being a bun-birthday tradition if it means dulcet smooth tones as you basically seduce me by saying “be mine or burn”; and I mean, I’m already yours since we’re married, but if you’re into some fire-play we could also sneak that into this marria-*SMACKED* Listening to this, I’m once again reminded of how absolutely blessed I am to have you as my best friend. Thank you for this amazing, wonderful gift that I will surely show to everyone so I can say “I have the most talented, amazing best friend AND HERE’S THE PROOF SHE MADE THIS FOR MEEE” I love you so much my dumpling, my wifey, my bean bestie 💗

Not gonna lie, if Frollo was actually female it would have made the villain even better. Not to say Frollo isn't a damn good disney villain, but if Frollo was a woman of the cloth trying to fight back her feelings she has towards another woman, not only would it have had the same impact and repercussions as the male version but the underlying internal fight would have been more justified (in why Frollo went crazy, not that it's ok lol), and when villains are more justified in any manner it makes them more compelling by noticeable degrees. I kind of want this movie now lol Needless to say fantastic job, you really brought the character to life with this!

I don't really see how this is any different, a person gets horny over the hot lady from a minority. Proceeds to lose their mind and rage at how horny they are and not being able to do anything about it. And Just to be pedantic because I feel like it, in the Disney film Frollo is a Judge and not a priest because that was a bit too spicy for 1996. Also, nobody listened to nuns because of bullshit reasons. Dom Claude Frollo the Archdeacon of Notre-Dame however holds a lot more power. If this was not in Paris, but in the French Countryside, then absolutely. I don't think it's more justified, you just really want lesbian Frollo. Not that that is a bad thing. I mean, I'm 1,000% down for it. It just doesn't change much in my eyes. Maybe you or somebody else could help explain it better.
@vicariousxiv24364 жыл бұрын
@@philiphockenbury6563 No you don't get my point, it's because of the fact that at that time same-sex relations were still quite "voodoo," especially around anything religious, so instead of Frollo just being the big bad man with an infatuation for Esmerelda and going full horny crazy, it could have instead been more of reasonable struggle with ones sexuality that would have eventually driven her crazy. Yeah in the end nothing would actually change within the story, nor should it cause I like this movie already as is, but personally I always find villains you can find sympathy for to be far greater narrative villains. So you look at the real Frollo and I personally have a very hard time sympathizing with him at all, he's just your typical disney villain being evil for the same of being the bad guy, but make him a her and have her struggle with "taboo" sexual attractions and all of a sudden you kind of feel bad for her, not that it would excuse her going crazy ofc, but there would be that part in most watchers who'd be hoping she'd find a happy ending as well prior to her turn to full evil, which makes that turn all the more powerful.

This is my favorite female cover of Hellfire. What really does it for me is the controlled and cold and menacing voice when she says, "Get our you idiot. I'll find her. I'll find her if I have to burn down all of Paris." And the fact that the guy in the song pretending to be a soldier actually sounded French. Instead of just sounding English like in the cartoon. Protect Me Maria Don’t let this siren cast her spell don’t let her fire seer my flesh and bone Destroy Lyra Let her taste the fires of hell Or else let her be mine and mine alone “.....” Hellfire Dark Fire Now gypsy it’s your turn, Choose me or your pyre Be mine Or you will burn (God have mercy on me) (God have mercy on her) She will be mine Or she will burn

As a person who experiences Frisson ( music causing the human body to react with intense emotion, chills, or tingles) this song hit so hard for me I cried your voice is heavenly! This was the first song of yours that I found and I've been listening to everything, simply amazing. Now I gotta get over my gay panic! 😊

Yes! I absolutely adore your song covers! (They’re surprisingly relaxing to listen to with early morning coffee..) Hellfire has got to be one of the best songs Disney released, and you made it more haunting! I’ve got chills! I really like that the guard at the door was given a French accent, it honestly never occurred to me in the movie so I love the inclusion! I would love to see your take on “Toxic Love” from Ferngully. You’ve got a talent for portraying villains! Please make more girl/girl song covers, this world needs more~

Aaaa what a wonderful comment to receive ❤️ I really love the french accent as well, Serkuos did an INCREDIBLE job with that VA on such short notice. And we must've had a moment of telepathy, I was actually listening to Toxic Love when I got the notification for this comment and freaked out about it to Sharon. Love your music choices, will definitely consider it for a future cover. Thank you very much for all of your support ❤️❤️

This is magnificent! You have such a beautiful and powerful voice, and the feeling of distress and despair there’s on it while you sing is just how I pictured a female Frollo would feel about being attracted to Esmeralda. You can feel the conflict and fear for a punishment on your voice! I’m so glad I found this, new sub!

So, of course, your vocals are absolutely stunning and frightening at the same time. You have such a gentle tone throughout the song which is a wonderful contrast to the content of the lyrics, and it makes the more powerful moments of the song stand out even more. But I have *got* to give you props on your acting because WOW. Honestly, your delivery, with how it built up into that growled "Paris" was even more intimidating than the original line. Fantastic job!

Great voice and awesome cover. Out of all of the female covers for this song, your take truly captures the Frollo essence. Your speaking voice is likened to that of Demon/Dark Souls dialogue/delivery. I haven't realized until now but THIS (your cover) cover is the most accurate, according to theme and intent, for the song; the truest regarding the context of the scene to the film.
