Well now it would be “too close” to the Olympics for her to do surgery. The two years prior is important for many gymnast to “qualify” and “present”.

@Daniel Rocha I agree I competition for world's is nothing compared to all the podium training and competition at world's.. thus was short world is a long competition..I don't think her ankle is ready

I dont know how I feel about Ragan now after her injury. National Championships were really rough for her but bounced back during this competition. Still has a ton of work to do but she may make the team just because of experience

I don't know why her coaches are still pushing her to join the camp. tbh she has a low chance to be selected as she is not as competitive as other girls but her body definitely need a rest and surgery. see how riley took a break last year and she bounces back now.

She used to be my favorite but since the ankle injury, she’s not the same. Even her attitude doesn’t seem the same. I would love to see her in the 2020 olympics but she needs surgery or a break to heal. She would’ve had 3 years to recover and come back.. really breaks my heart to see her like this

i actually think its a joke that she's on the worlds team. She was a mess at nationals and the classic. I hope she is the alternate, because I'm pretty sure its between her and Kara. Kara could challenge for a beam medal but Ragan would be 2-per-countried out of the AA by Morgan and Simone and beam by Simone and Morgan if Kara didn't go. Her floor could make a final but her messy landing on the arabian and the triple will make it difficult for a medal. She's a personal fave, don't get me wrong, but I think its kinda unfair

Yeah. I don’t get it. She is such a great performer. And clearly skilled. She is fighting her body, and it scares me. I hope she is the alternate for health reasons. She has the tenacity of a champion, which can lead to pushing to come back too soon.

Sophie Golding she has to upgrade her bars and floor to even be considered for the AA. If Hurd brings back her moors, that’ll knock ragan out of the AA completely. She needs to take the time off. She doesn’t want to blow out her ankle if she has a bad landing.

Matthew Armbruster yeah she could be tbh. I still think she deserves a spot. Definitely one of the dark horses at nationals. 4th in the all around behind a 4 time olympic gold medal and a current world champion!

I've never actually liked Ragan personally, her dancing always annoyed me and for some reason I just don't like her. She makes me cringe, not her gymnastics... Her. #sorryaboutit But I've always been able to see that she was actually great during 2016-2017. The amplitude, the power, the height of her skills now is very lacking. She used to have a fire about her but now she just seems like she prays to make it through the pain and is kind of sad. She should get surgery, she really should. Idk why she insisted to comeback this year, she should've sit this one out and come back next year. Now it might be too late for surgery and her chances to make that Tokyo team with that ankle and her competition are very thin. Sad, honestly. I thought she had so much potential.
