The combat in this game is the best fps combat I've ever tried..it was wayyy better than reviewers were saying when it came out..good review..I played the ish outa this back in the day

For the last week I have been going through Rage 2 on ps5 - it looks great & is a lot of fun. Far from perfect but I really do like this game.

What?? I'm playing on PS5 and the best OLED money can buy and it looks like absolute and utter garbage.. by far THEE worst looking game on PS5.. I wish it looked good because I love the game.. major disappointment that it didn't get an upgrade, to me looks even downgraded

The only thing I absolutely HATE! About this game is that they didn’t include the sniper from the first game (srsly who makes an open world FPS and doesn’t add a sniper?)

The railgun in Rage 2 has the best weapon sound ever imo Playing Doom Eternal helped really understand the way this game is meant to be played. I hated it back in 2019 but coming back to it in 2022 post-Doom Eternal was an eye-opening experience. You have to be hyper aggressive and spend time switching between weapons and collecting the health drops. It is addicting as fuck!! In fact I just finished a Doom Eternal playthrough last night and I'm rummaging through the internet to find similar games only to realize that I can just do a NG+ run for this game xd Amazing review btw. You hit the nail on the head as to why this game is so much fun

The best shooting in any game imho, perfect. I don't usually finish games, but I finished this in both Stadia and then again on Series X. I keep replaying it sometimes.

Love this game it is crazy enemies rush u from everywhere especially when u try and take arcs. The driving is hit and miss depending on your choice of vehicles but putting it aside it's a fun amazing crazy beautiful looking game definitely worth a play definitely gonna replay this

Spent 60 dollars back when it came out. Worth every cent. I feel it's a little too different from Rage 1, but it was a lot of fun, regardless.

I have read it here several times and I am also in that team: Bought it fresh in 2019. Never finished it, in fact stopped after maybe 10% of the game… Then picked it up again this summer 2023 and finished within three weeks. Its a master piece!!!

Loved this game, it got so many mixed reviews. But I loved it. Well over 50 hours spend walking the wasteland, just killing mutants and infidel alike 😂 Did you know that with double jump you can climb vertical objects and building 😮

Same here, played the crap out of it when it released and decided to play it again just recently and it was just as good as I remember! Now that you mention the double jump I do remember it! Never did it in my second run and completely forgot about that! Just love how the games mechanics evolve as you play it's fantastic!

How does the run on ps5? 60 fps? 1080p resolution?

It suffers slightly with some weird graphical problems like lighting at times but on a 4k TV it looks great but you can tell it is not optimised for PS5 - beautiful to look at but the textures are a bit soft looking. above all else its a lot of fun, go for it. And YES 1080p 60fps - rock solid.

game is good but it has very few missions and too many open world crap, also so many bugs that can make the game impossible to finish and i didnt like that for some reason enemies in jungle are utter bullet sponges that are the same as the enemies in the swamp but they take more damage and do far more. They should have just made a new gang. Also i dont like the wacky setting, it should have been like the original game that took itself seriously. "post apocalyptic" game but the npcs have robot arms and "Swipe right" on their i pads. Was really screwed by bad marketing broken denuvo implementation and bugs. Too bad it gets too repetitive and some weapons and powers are so hard to find that it feels like trying to find a needle in a haystack, they should have less open world crap and more missions.

I might give this game a second chance to this game, also, not a big deal but I remember being annoyed by the overall purple/pink color scheme this game seems to like, would work if you're playing Barbie doll life simulator but doesn't work at all in a post apocalyptic setting.

Yeah same here, absolute love the combat and that is what makes or breaks most shooter games. So all in all i'm honestly very satisfied with the game

@@ZlimBratSki Anytime man, I agree that the combat is fantastic I just feel it would have been so much better with a linear or semi open structure. The world ended up being a shell of what Avalanche did with Mad Max. The objectives are fun like any Farcry esque open world but the whole world lacks life and passion. The whole thing seemed like a rushed together product by both Avalanche and ID in between other projects. It sucks because the story was much better in the original and that game is truly underapreciated. I'd definitely recommend it for people at a discount. Funny enough less than a year after it released I found it at Best Buy for $11 so for my buy in price it was worth it 100%.

I agree totally! The combat, the amount of things, the size, the world all feels and looks great! But the story is incredibly short and lack luster but comparing it to other fast paced shooters the story is more then most offer. The quality of the open world, it looks great with enough variety to it but the interactivity in it way to repetitive and mostly just feels like scripted "taking over bases" fillers for the game :)
