_ Charles Leclerc vs The Monaco GP continued this year as he was shagged out of race winning contention by Ferrari's brain dead strategy. it was Sergio Perez who claimed victory as Red Bull and Max Verstappen extend their lead in both championships. Lewis Hamilton and Esteban Ocon got fresh with each other while George Russell takes another impressive top 5 finish making it 7 in a row this season.

^^^This ^^^ It does feel like there should be a rule, kinda like the 107% rule, where if you compete in >80% of races and finish 21st of 20, you're disqualified from top flight competition. Just as with the 107% rule, exceptions can be made where appropriate (likely to mostly be a $100m donation to underprivileged youth racing or something as bound to be some silver-spoon, entitled, Wannabe).

Mazepin's highest place finish was 14th, 2nd best of 17th, scoring no points. The only other zero point finishers were his team mate, Mick who had a best of 12th, 13th, 14th.. and Kubica who, of his 2 GPs finished 14th and 15th, beating Mazepin (though I don't know if it's due to 14th and 15th beating 14th and 17th, or because Kubica beat Mazepin both times they raced each other). Then again, the F1 race officials don't even know the rules, so I guess you're applying for a job as their official records keeper?!?

Binge watching RPM and I get to this video, having watched LeClerc FINALLY not just finish the race but win it. Sure, Bottas taking fastest lap at one point by lapping roughly 4 seconds faster than the race leaders, Tsunoda backing up the pack until he was over a lap behind the car in front of him (who had already taken a free pitstop thanks to the gap he had opened up), etc., just reinforced how absolutely ridiculous it is that F1 is still “racing” here, and after they managed to get around a few corners and settle into a nice single file procession without any further collisions the race became predictably boring as hell, but there was a certain amount of suspense as the end of the race approached and nothing bad had happened to Charles yet. Lando Norris finally gets his first win, Seb drives Senna’s car at Imola and pulls out both the Austrian and Brazilian flags in a tribute that was incredibly moving, Leclerc finally wins his home race, Leo is winning hearts in the paddock - this season is just f’n wholesome
