It's such an incredible song, one of the few by Rage that is not overtly political in a macro sense, but certainly on a micro level it is very political. Fathers and sons, man. It's difficult, painful, complicated stuff he is singing about. But Zack is such a gifted poet, and he lays his soul bare on a personal level with this song, that the result is a thing of beauty. Anger is a gift, indeed. Props to the whole band for this song and this performance. One of the GOATs.

Not many people understand what he is singing about. I assume from what I read about it that Zach’s father developed schizophrenia. I understand what this song was about because my biological father also has schizophrenia. Although I don’t share exactly the same take as the lyrics of the song, the lyrics and entire song speak loudly to me. People should be happy they don’t understand what he is saying here.

Hes not saying that the music was bad. The crowd was uncooperative the entire time, most were drunk or high on various drugs the entire time. They actually started fires and shit. This show was an infamous disaster of a crowd.
