Zack is Chicano Since you asked.... Zack De la Rocha is a Mexican American, with African and Sephardi Jewish heritage, along with German and Irish heritage. He comes from a family full of artists, revolutionaries, and rebels. The guitar player Tom Morello was born in Harlem, NY and attended Harvard University. His mother is Italian and Irish she is an educator and activist up until today in her 90's. His father is Kenyan and was a revolutionary who became Kenya's first ambassador to the United Nations. His uncle was the first elected president of Kenya, his aunt the first woman to serve in the legislature of Kenya. Another uncle is one of the founding fathers of modern Kenya. You should really have the lyrics up when you listen. RATM makes music with a message.

IMO its one of their weakest songs. It has a total of maybe 5 phrases repeated ad nauseam. Pretty much throw a rock and hit a better song. Maybe "Wild International" by One Day as a Lion Zack does vocals on that too.

I love RATM 🤘Nu metal was my teens and will forever be one of my favourite genres ❤ They got some epic guitar riffs and Tom Morello is famous for making those record scratching sounds with the guitar. Like how do you come up with something like that and use it so well? Also I can see why Zack de la Rocha is one of Ren’s favourite rappers and inspirations.

When you listen to the interview (1997) with Zack de la Rocha you'll notice the correlation with Ren on topics of society and the system(s). Rage against the Machine is iconic, I find. Try 'Know your enemy' or 'Down rodeo'. Great reaction again!:)

its kinda sad that people these days live in their own tunnel vision and are never exposed to so many things in life. This used to be the standard for music before everyone learned how to make simple beats in their bedroom. As a practicing musician, I rarely hear any new music from newer artists from country to rap that I couldn't teach a 10 year old how to make in a music program. We dont have popular musicians anymore. Only "entertainers/artists" who put on a performance.

Zach is a bit of a nut, but he had some skills. Chris Cornell joined them after Zach went bye bye and formed Audioslave. Also an excellent band! Chris was the lead for Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. Audioslave made some great music but their debut song, Cochise, will still burn ur hair! And their song, show me how to live, is pretty melty!
