I want him to use multiple elements In one attack, I don’t believe there’s attack in his arsenal where he uses the power of two elements to do a thing. I want him to use all of the elements in his ultimate, keep the ice, but make its so there’s lightning raining down, he’s lightning the ground on fire Lunastra style and all the while maybe he’s taking the time to pump himself up with dragon. Also maybe add water to his arsenal by allowing him to flood the arena by melting his own ice. He really should use his power to it’s full potential in world.

Fun facts: Alatreon is the only Black dragon you can fight in a G-rank village quest, in-lore there exists one that has mastered its powers known as the "blue flame Alatreon" (which is white btw) and its the 1st black dragon that literally looks like a "black" dragon (no offense to Fatalis). A dope ultimate move in Iceborne could be: Builds up energy from each element and drops an orb from the sky (like ecliptic meteor). Upon touching down, it sends out wind press, heat wave/flames, snow/ice particles (inflicts iceblight), and bolts of lightning and dragon strike all around the area, being most intense in the epicenter.

Alatreon's body heat is so great due to the conflicting forces of the elements and energy inside it that simply putting bread in his vicinity would make it catch fire and disintegrate. The land around him isn't a volcano, it's just land that got fucked by Alatreon being too hot to handle, hence why Josh is attracted to it That and the electricity between its horns might do something I dunno, I don't brain too good

Watching this fight, I had an idea. Make his ultimate attack zone-based. Here's what I mean: separate the arena into four quadrants, where three of them are dead traps. I was thinking a swirling blizzard that expands outwards, a plasma dome that closes into its centre and an inferno that could fill its space in tight patterns. All would do continuous damage, so the hunters can feel the terror of needing to get out of this specific apocalypse, but if they remain in there for long enough, each would do a massive OHKO: A cascade of exploding icicles, a bursting EMP and an erupting fire pillar. The zone that remains would be the dragon zone. Alatreon himself could be standing here, or he could fly overhead, it doesn't really matter. The point is that this zone is where hunters have to go to escape the other three until they finish their attack, but don't take a breath just yet. This zone will charge up with dragon energy from the beginning, but it won't deal any damage. Instead, hunters will have to flee right away when the other three finish exploding as This one will break into a dragon hurricane that will murder you twice over if you're not fast enough! How's this as an ultimate for the Walking Apocalypse?

I think the only reason he doesn't control water is mainly due to location, while all the water based monsters usually get that power from the environment sources, and given where he is there doesn't seem to be a lot of water to use for an elemental power.

Wonder if Alatreon will make it into world as it was originally datamined a while back. If it does, I hope for a few improvements. One, its dragon steroid is stronger in world but can be weakened via breaking parts. Making its dragon boosted physical attacks more threatening to even the most skilled and armored hunter until parts break. Two, it to combo some elemental attacks together. For example it spits an ice shards that than explodes with a fire or electrical burst or dragon infused lightning that leaves a patch of fire making the arena more dangerous. Three, and most importantly reworking its super attack to be more dangerous. Let it chill the field slowing hunter movement down whilst it drops lightning bolts, ice shards, and fireballs. If it does it whilst enraged and dragon steroided, the super attack area will also crackle with red dragon energy and all attacks that drop will be dragon infused thus inflicting more damage. Alatreon is not my favorite designed dragon BUT its concept intrigues me. A monster with control of four of the five elemental attacks, a threat that you can really only build for a few elemental resistances effectively without tossing out to many damage oriented decorations.

@@benlee8225 not a fan of long fights having a "finisher" attack that you must survive (see Behemoth). I might be ok with it so long as it isn't a "it hits the entire map and you must hide behind breakable rocks otherwise you die instantly". It must stay in the spirit of monster hunter.

You know what would be great is if the elements that Alatreon controls at a point of the fight ( 25% health maybe ) started to surround him making an unstable cocoon of elements around him that he is invincible during this animation & it explodes outwards with so much force that every hunter in the zone gets wind repelled & his true special attack is an elemental dive bomb he gets after this state that renders the entire arena unsafe ( yes I know this idea sounds so insane that it should be in frontier but I have little knowledge on that game so I don't think that entirely happens but I know there is a monster in it that has this base idea ).

hmmm... never saw the icicle hail as an ultra attack, but now that i think about it... Alatreon has no real ultra, has he? i mean, the icicles are severely underwhelming and they have always been. maybe I would consider his triple thunder claw as at least the most dangerous attack, but that's not quite an ultra either *thinking* Edit: That random Shaun of the Dead quote, I'm proud of you, Josh! :'D
