It doesn't matter, you only need R tickets to get Boltreaver and Hellblade, I got Boltreaver from my first run, with a Rare Ticket, and thought it was a normal Astalos Egg. (For anyone wondering, the Green on Boltreaver's egg is Much Darker than Regular Astalos, but it's nearly identical otherwise.)

As an added note for everyone, pertaining to her elemental weaknesses: When she has the gold armor scales, she is weak to thunder. However, when she's naked, she's weak to ice. During the second phase, breaking a horn will knock her down for a good old fashion round of crits. Hope this helps if any are struggling with the timer. :)

GUYS! YOU DON'T NEED SR TICKETS FOR HELLBLADE AND BOLTREAVER! I used an R ticket for the Boltreaver mission and was planning on just getting good thunder genes and Boltreaver's gear, and after his defeat I got what I mistook for a normal Astalos Egg and it was BOLTREAVER! (It's a much darker Green than the Normal Astalos Egg) And I assume the same applies to Hellblade and will apply to Elderfrost and Soulseer when they arrive, and 2 of Boltreaver's 3 Guaranteed genes are really strong platinum genes (one of which triggers his blue thunder mode for 5 turns!) and from a Rare den quest I got THUNDER BOOST +1 on him! I mean, you can still use the SR tickets if you want, but if your only goal is Boltreaver you can get him (and Hellblade, Elderfrost, and Soulseer eventually) with just a Rare ticket!

Use a damage charm and make sure your actually leveled. Ive killed her at 18 minutes and i was level 80.

@@kevine9474 ah yeah I forgot to set a charm that will help, also I’m not that high level, my team is all lvl 69, I was also gonna try using using thunder weapon and monstie which kulve is weak too so hopefully I can get that sub 20, if not I’ll have to power level, I’m on s elders lair z3 so I should be able to level up quite quickly soon, whenever I can start quick finishing s elders lair monsters

The moment I heard Kulve couldn’t be a monstie, I just had the worst sinking feeling ever. God dang it why can’t we have her as a monstie? I was imagining how her baby form would look, and how cool it would be to have a smaller version of her fighting along side us, and watch her move while mounted in the over world. Plus her egg could have been covered in golden scales, making it the prettiest of them all! (Proceeds to sob over yet another cool monster not being hatch able.)

I had a pretty good run with a random, beat the astalos and brach separately in under 2 minutes, went straight for kulve beat her first phase with barely more than 10 minutes remaining, what really screwed us over is the lag between making moves, the timer doesn’t stop and it’s really frustrating. Time to over level and try solo i guess…

Have fun if you plan on doing this with an NPC, their AI might be tolerable and (usually) shower you with healing but their monsties hit like limp noodles. I got Kulve drooling and then quest failed. You need to hard carry the DPS and not wander around the dungeon longer than you need to. Off topic, but is it just me or is the game performance on the Switch a little bit smoother after the update? Everywhere with lots of grass, and probably the big ass desert map is still scuffed but everything else seems to be slightly improved.

If you and your teammate split up to take out the Brachy and Astalos separately, you should have enough time to take out Kulve together. Solo fights actually go a lot faster since there's a lot less down time between turns.

Even with an SR ticket it's only the final nest that has Boltreaver eggs, and I've since learned it can also have Kirin or Rajang eggs. I know now sometimes you can go through eggs in the last nest and not get what you want, but five times seems odd unless you are going with the first egg you grab each time.

If you play solo, you are losing a ton of damage and hoping that the AI plays well. The AI monsties are not good. You might be taking a gamble with online players, but if they have a monstie with half decent genes and bingos they'll be doing like double or triple the damage of the AI.

so this is not as easy when using an AI partner, at lvl 60 ( yes cleared fatalis) it took me 3 tries, i timed out the first 2 tries on kulve alone, the 3rd time i finished all the monsters with 1m12s

minutes? it's a turn based game, how does that work? is it like table top rules of a turn is 6 seconds or something because by that logic u would have 300 turns and there r very few turn based things that take that long. even with the other 2 monsters on the map i don't see that happening if it's strict turn logic but i guess if it's literal time just decide actions quickly. maybe breaching 100 maybe but 300? if it's the turn thing, holy shit!

Well that's a bummer. Exclusively playing PvE (so far), so all that equip is bloody useless. Why roll the dice on a stun when I can double attack every turn for free and take actually useful skills? Also Health Up is utter trash, change my mind.

1. You can't double attack a skill that doesn't have a type. 2. Pretty sure almost every skill in the game is up to chance. 3. Health up is good because you'll be more tanky, meaning you won't waste as much time healing, which is especially important in a turned based game.

Like Tigrex boulder attacks which are roughly every other turn. Or Arzuros heal/def move which is always after rage. 3. But auto recovery is a thing. Also why ever heal at all? Optimized play has kinship skills, ride tanking, yada-yada. End game stuff one- or two-shots anyway, why heal at all?
