Easy, get a monster with the Overworld ability Den Hunter. Use it and then on the minimap you can hover your cursor over the revealed dens to see precisely what type of den it is. It makes life really easy.

Cool tip if you want to find the dens in the over world 1. put a kulu ya ku in your party 2. go into the over world 3. press b and check map after the radar is over 4. You can see all dens via map instead of searching via flight

So far I "found“ 8 super rare dens. In a den in the Jalma-Highland you can always get Kirin, Kushala or Bloodbath Diablos. In a den in Alcala-Highland you can always get Kushala, Rajang or the 3rd Tigrex Variant. In a den in the small area in front of the Nua Te village you can get Teostra, Velkhana or the 3rd Rathian Variant. You can see the super rare dens from across the entire map and you can save your game before you enter so you have a guaranteed drop of the egg you want. If you are patient enough you can reload the save until you get the monstie with the genes you want.😉

I finished the main story, and when I left the town there was a super rare high rank den where I got an iridescent Teostra egg. I was so lucky, but I haven't seen another one since then!

PSA: If you have a friend with you its REALLY worth it to do normal ticket dens to farm the bottlecaps, every den nets you 10 for completing it and it usually has a couple of chest with bottlecaps in them, WAY better than just spam rare high rank dens in the overworld and farm there

@@scoutman66 I had the reverse problem trying to get a Tobi Kadachi. For an increased retreat chance you have to break his tail with a Hunting Horn. I weakened it and hoped Avinia would break it. It took until my 5th Tobi for it to work out. And then he didn't retreat even though I also threw a Paintball at him...

Bottle caps are a fully renewable resource, the 8 star co-op explores regardless of ticket level used net you 30 bottle caps between the chests inside and the 10 for quest rewards, so with just a single expedition ticket (N) you can farm essentially unlimited sr tickets

Don't worry, Thunderlord was my first deviant fight as well and he was a pain and a half to fight. But it was worth it in the end because I now have a cute super thunder boi :D

The super rare dens are incredibely rare, but I got about 5 in a day, by just respawning at the catavan under Kuan Village and using Kulus egg finder ability. It still takes super long tho and it doesn't really work in other areas, because while there are most of the time around 6 dens in loloska that are within Kulus range everywhere else it's often times significantly less

I have nearly 75 hours of gameplay and only about 10 hours of searching, I found my first SR Den and I got myself a Bloodbath Diablos from it! I named him "Destroya" since after all he is a little destroyer of worlds(also named after Destroya from Godzilla vs Destroya. It fits, both of their designs are devilish) Edit: I FOUND ANOTHER ONE IN JUST 20 TO 30 MINS OF THE FIRST!!! WHERE ARE YOU AT!?!

Honestly I went around after finishing the story doing quests I ignored along the way (all the ones marked hard) since I thought the elder dragon thing was literally the end game elder dragon dungeon from the first game that was absolutely horrendous. I found a super rare den on top of the mountain in Loloska next to where Zinogre sleeps and I was like "what in the hell is this?" Saw the super rare and I nearly wet myself with excitement. I got to the next and Thunderlord was sleeping there and I was like "nope, I'm taking one of the first 3 eggs because I am not fighting him right now", 3rd egg was finally an elder dragon egg and lo and behold, a Velkana was born. 40 hours later, I still haven't seen another super rare den, though I've mostly been focusing on finding high rank monsters to fight to get materials for weapon and armor upgrades.

I refreshed for eggs, scanned with nest finder ability from kulu/ rajang and checked if there is a super rare on the map while watching movies on my second screen. I think I get about 1 Super rare every 2 hours on average. Fastest area for that (most dens in scan range from spawnpoint) are probably the checkpoint next to the brute tigrex in the predesert area and the point where all the roads split off in the snow area (not sure for the exact names atm as I am not ingame) This is the way when you can't do multiplayer because you have a non standard skin color like me and they didnt fix the bug yet

Do not focus on farming eggs while in lor rank as when you get to high rank the monsters are better and the genes. My question is... Is a legiana cought in high rank better than the one from low rank? If yes how? What changes. Noone seems to talk about this.

I once found a soulseer mizutsune egg in a low rank mizutsune den and another soulseer mizutsune egg in a normal high rank rare den. For the first one, I just did the low rank mizutsune side quest where you fight mizutsune in pomore garden. When I beat it, it retreated to it’s den and I got the soulseer mizutsune egg there.

If you go to the catavan stand at the beginning of terga and use Kulu Ya-Ku's nest search ability you can see almost all of the dens on that map with one scan. I found 3 super rare dens in 90 minutes that way last night.

Thunderlord was pretty simple to beat, silver wind was the hardest deviant for me to beat, he was the only one I actually took multiple tries to beat. And I fought them all back to back. So I only really gained like 1 or 2 levels by the time I beat them all in the single player

Just finished rise so came back to story & found an elder frost gammy egg in a rare high ranked den look like they have low chances (saw the egg I have never seen look at my guide for all fanged beasts still could not see so I just hatched it) In monsipidia u can press X then warp to that location show the deviants will be in rare high ranked dens. Well i believe its not "100H of Farming EndGame". I think those Dens dont spawn until you have beaten the last Boss. Overall i've found 3 SR Dens in like 10H of farming since Endgame. Dont get me wrong, i know that i have a lot of lucks, but all the hours before End Game doesnt count.

My opinions on whether a monster from this game should give live birth or lay eggs and why. Aptonoth: Being based on a Parasaurolophus and it being manly reptile it should lay eggs. Velocidrom: Being the same reason as the Aptonoth, it is being based on a velociraptor, it should lay eggs. Kulu-Ya-Ku: This is the most obvious reason for it being a bird-raptor animal, there for it should lay eggs. Yian Kut-Ku/Blue Yian Kut-Ku: This monster being mostly a bird like monster it should lay eggs. Bulldrome: This monster is a mammal and should give birth, they could add a mechanic that is like a nursery and you could purchase such mammal/mammal-like monsters. Pukei-Pukei: This being the same as Yain Kut-Ku, it should lay eggs. Apceros: Being closely related to the Aptonoth and a Ankylosaurus based monster, it should lay eggs. Great Jaggi: It being related to Velocidrom and Kulu-Ya-Ku and being a bird-raptor, it should lay eggs. Royal Ludroth/Purple Ludroth: As much as I would say it would be able to lay eggs, I think the monster should be able to give birth like a mammal-like reptile. Arzuros: It should be able to give birth for the same reason as Bulldrome, it being a mammal. Qurupeco/Crimson Qurupeco: This monster should be able to lay eggs for it being mostly a bird monster. Tigrex/Brute Tigrex/Grimclaw Tigrex: This monster being an all reptile monster would lay eggs. Monoblos/White Monoblos: This monster also being an all reptile monster would lay eggs. Poalumu: I would think this monster would be able to give birth because it is a mammal like monster and it would be like the Arzuros and Bulldrome. Basarios/Ruby Basarios: This monster can lay eggs or give birth because it is an already baby monster and it's reproduction organs not being fully developed. Yain Garuga: Being related to the Yian Kut-Ku it would be able to lay eggs being a bird monster. Nargacuga/Green Nargacuga: This monster would be able to give birth because it is a mammal like monster more then it is reptile. Rathian/Rathalos/Azure Rathalos/Pink Rathian/Dreadqueen Rathian: This is the most obvious reason we have seen it lay eggs and being a reptile it would definitely lay eggs. Popo: This is a full mammal monster so it should give birth like the Arzuros and Bulldrome. Congalala/Emerald Congalala: This monster being an ape and mammal monster should give birth. Great Baggi: It being like the Great Jaggi and it being a bird-raptor it should lay eggs. Kecha Wacha/Ash KechaWacha: This being also an ape and mammal monster like the Congalala it should give birth. Gypceros/Purple Gypceros: This monster being a bird reptile monster like the Yian Kut-Ku it would be able to lay eggs. Zamtrios: You would think this monster being based on a great white shark it should give birth not lay eggs like a fish, but you would be wrong, it is an amphibian and would lay eggs. Narscylla/Shrouded Narscylla: This monster being an arachnid would lay eggs. Barroth/Jade Barroth: This monster would be like the Royal Ludroth and it would give birth like a mammal-like reptile. Tobi-Kadachi: I would think this monster would be like the Royal Ludroth and Barroth and give birth. Khezu/Red Khezu: This monster being an insectoid/parasitic monster it would lay eggs. (I dead carcasses) Lagombi: Being related to the Arzuros it should be able to give birth. Anjanath/Fulgur Anjanath: This being very obvious reason for it being based on a Tyranosurus Rex and it would be able to lay eggs. Gammoth: This was frustrating for me at first and inspired me to do this, this monster is a mammal and should be able to give live birth. Zinogre/Stygian Zinogre/Thunderlord Zinogre: This monster being a wolf monster should be able to give birth. Barioth/Sand Barioth: This monster being related to the Nargacuga should also be able to give birth for the same reason. Legiana: This monster was difficult, but being mostly a reptile monster I think it would lay eggs. Iodrome: This monster being like the Velocidrom, Kulu-Ya-Ku, and Great Jaggi and Baggi it should lay eggs. Gendrome: This monster being related to Velocidrom and Iodrome it would be able to lay eggs. Cephadrome: This monster being a fish would lay eggs like a desert amphibian. (In bodies of water) Diablos/Black Diablos/Bloodbath Diablos: Like Monoblos it would lay eggs being mostly a reptile. Mizutsune: This monster is a leviathan, but it is all mammal so it should give birth. Lagiacrus/Ivory Lagiacrus: This monster is a leviathan and a marine reptile so it would lay eggs. Uragaan: This monster lives near a volcanic region with many predators so if it would give birth the fresh young would burn to death or get eaten so they would have to lay eggs that look like rock and are heat resistant and other Uragaan would now the difference between the eggs and rock and the hatchling would already be heat resistant. Gravios/Black Gravios: Like the Uragaan it lives in a dangerous environment so it would be able to lay eggs that look like rocks. Brachydios: The same reason for Uragaan and Gravios, but they would look like eggs and have an obsidian shell. Nergigante: Interestingly I found out that they do not give birth or lay eggs, there spikes absorb bioenergy and produce. Astalos: Being both insectoid and reptilian the monster should be able to lay eggs. Glavenus: This monster being based on a Carnotaurus and a reptile it should lay eggs. Bazelgeuse: I would think that it being mainly a flying reptile it should lay eggs. Devil'jho: The same reason as the Glavenus of it being based on a Giganotosaurus and should lay eggs. Seregios: Like the Astalos and the Bazelgeuse it is reptilian and would lay eggs. Kirin: This Elder dragon is very mysterious but like all mammals it would give birth. Teostra: This Elder dragon would give birth because of it being based on a lion and being mainly a mammal. Rajang: Like the Congalala and Kecha Wacha this monster would be able to give birth. Kushala Daora: Interestingly I think this Elder dragon would give birth with it mammal-like reptile behavior. Velkhana: Unlike Kushala Daora I think this Elder dragon would lay eggs.

Not sure if this is helpful but not all deviants are locked behind SR dens, I have not got 3 from just R dens…. Hellblade, Boltreaver, and Elderfrost, just from rare dens

I literally ran into 3 Nergigante eggs back to back in rare dens not the super rare just rare the gold dens and honestly i looked it up on the wiki and it gave the intention that you had to just farm Nergigante untill it dropped an egg on defeat which I thought was weird and so i literally just went after it for my first run and stopped at a rare den on the 2nd egg I got it so maybe you need to have the quest to hunt him to get the eggs to spawn in rare dens

The lore of bloodbath also doesn't add up either. They're meant to be regular ones that survived being hunted with a broken horn making them ultra mega angry. Kinda like soulseer too I guess?

spent 2 days just resseting dens only got 1 ultra rare dens and got a kushala in desert. the rest are rare hr dens manage to snag 2 soulseer 1 dreadking 1 elderfrost tho. overall not bad and not good

Ha I have killed and slayed tons of elder dragons and deviants and you can get SR expedition tickets form rare normal and the palumute dens there really hard to get though but yall get a lot of different other expedition tickets so then invite farming

For any monsters that don't attack more than once you can seriously abuse the double attacks! I beat Velkhana, completely underleveled, by just forcing double attacks and not giving her a chance to actually attack.

I am trying to farm bloodb. Dia but mostly single player and I have only gotten 1 extreme rare den with a molten tigrex egg I probably could have gotten a different egg, but I didnt want to chance it.
