Fabulous, is your playing on Violin. You are simplying playing with it. With such kind of children like you, let our Sangeetham flourish, and it has to be passed to generations down. I wish more and more concerts of yours should be loaded on KZbin so that it would be a inspiration to our children and they start learning. Sangeetham gives discipline in life and at present , society needs this.

Class Recital of the masterpiece Krithi Whenever one hears about Patnam Subramania Iyer this song only comes to mind ! Two of his famous compositions are Raghu Vamsha Sudha in raga Kadhana Kuthuhalam and Evari Bodhanna in raga Abhogi. He is known to have used his guru's mudra (signature)Venkatesa or variations of the same, in his compositions in Telugu and Sanskrit. The Mysore king Chamaraja Wodeyar gave him a pair of golden bracelets on two occasions, after singing performances in court. Raga Kadanakuthoohalam Janyam of 29th mela Shankarabaranam. Alias: kathanakuthoohalam, kadanakuthuhalam Patnam Subramanya Iyer; is credited withthe "invention" of this raaga. A raaga by the name of Kuthuhalam seems to have existed before; Patnam S. Iyer is credited with having modified that and composed this piece in the new raaga called "Kadanakuthuhalam". In this popular Kruti, Subramanya Iyer narrated the great deeds performed by Sree Mahavishnu in various incarnations. P raghu vamSa sudhAmbudhi chandra Sree rAma rAja rAjeSwara Oh Sree Rama! Thanks a lot Subramanian sir. Actually Raghuvamsa Sudha keertana is familiar to me since decades. I fact, earlier I was thinking the is in Telugu . Later only I cane to know this is in Sanskrit. I have asked the meaning of the lyrics from a Sanskrit scholar, who could only explain the meaning orally. You have provided it through your comment here.
