Just looking at those chunky crystals, I'm imagining all the fiddling I'd do with them when it isn't my turn! This looks like a good abstract to get for people who don't love abstracts but want their brains challenged because--CHUNKY CRYSTALS! And that bag is gorgeous! Also, I like that you're not competing with everyone for crystals in the pool--just the person also next to the pool. Intervention as a major game mechanic in simple games can be really annoying, some times.

5:13 "You need the map to have lots of single separate crystals in the color you're scoring." Yet only 1 crystal can be on any space at a time. So how does that one cluster of red score 1 for each (3 points) but the others still score too when they are by themselves??? How is a single crystal a cluster???

a single crystal is a "cluster of 1", while 3 crystals is "a cluster of 3", but either way, both clusters are worth 1 point, so the best way to score is to have lots of individual "clusters" of the color spread all over the place. :)

I think the runthru was done well, as I feel like I could play the game, and box art looks good to me. Video just doesn't excite me about the game.

@@rahdo No you're right. The instruction book seems to be well written. I think there are perhaps too many "long asides" during the review, spoiling the flow of information. The most obvious of these is 3:29 - 3:43 where I've been hungry for how the patterns score for far too long already, and don't really need game theory. (I'm not trying to troll, just to provide constructive feedback)
