Thanks for your praise. It seems like the years of redesigning and play-testing paid off ...

Thanks for another rundown. My wife and I actually disliked the 2-player variant in Wingspan: Asia. We love the stories our groups of birds tell each time we play. For us the 2p duet mode put too much focus on the board and took it away from the birds. So we just added Asia to our now gigantic deck of Wingspan cards and continue playing standard Wingspan. To each their own though.

i don't disagree at all. for me it was a nice change of pace, but if i had to pick one or the other, i'd stick with the regular objective system for sure :)

Interesting that Colab is your favorite. I’m still struggling to like my copy. I find the constant restoring the tableau quite tedious and that the lab upgrades don’t really serve much purpose after the first few rounds. I got the cardboard version, which has some visibility issues so I did some neon puff paint on the edges to make it easier to see.

You should keep it. You're allowed to love a game, and keep it to play - even if it is only by yourself. One game, a game which is really special to you. You should keep it. And I'm sure at some point, you'll be able to play it with someone else as well. Do keep it, you won't regret keeping it, you might regret letting it go.

well the thing is, i already have that one game: marvel champions. so this would be a second one... a slippery slope! :)

Star Trek: Captains Chair - I'd say do it. My wife does not like heavy games like Imperium. Imperium is my favorite solo game next to Spirit Island (Which incidiently I saw your play through for it so many years ago and was hooked).

i seriously keep thinking about the game, even though by now i haven't played it for over a week!

@@rahdo You're lucky! I have yet to play it and I don't think it's coming before the end of the year. Pre-ordered it when I heard about it. Now the wait.

Have to disagree on Tree Society. I love nature themed games and was intrigued but it was so meh my game group sold it the next day. I think bgg gets it right at 6.6. It’s not a bad game but it’s completely and immediately forgettable. I’m intrigued by Nova Roma though, in its original format it sounds like an old school interactive euro.

Yep the official NR two-player rules reminded me a lot of Bruxelles 1893
