@@ATHIRIPUTHIRI2621 Because, there are a few things in this world which brings you a new message everytime you watch or read or look at them. Swades is like a string of many pearls of emotions in it. Sometimes, as a mother when I watch it, I see the angle of Kaveri Amma, sometimes I watch it as a visionary and wonder how we're on different pages of casteism, race, sects, gender biasing (to some extent) in our society, sometimes I watch only to admire the character that SRK has portrayed so well of Mohan, his expressions and how each scene correlates, sometimes as a part of this society, I watch it from a perspective of Nivarana ji, or Mela Ram.. You'll understand once you'll reach my age... Sometimes, I even watch to admire the beauty, wits and sincerity of Gita portrayed by Gayatri Joshi.. Sometimes to admire the music how it takes over my senses, sometimes to admire the incredible writing of songs like Yeh Taara wo taara, how it perfectly describes the unity in diversity in form of a song...Such amazing package in itself...I hope my reply helps you understand now...

Actually Swades is the enhanced version of a drama series 'America Return' telecasted on Doordrashan where Gowarikar himself played the lead. All this time he had this in mind and crafted this masterpiece and brought the same subject to the world. Rahman had upper hand in the project and marvellously provided BGM to add exrtra bit to it. And not to forget the SRK's supereme perfomance & Udit's real India voice. Every small to big characters and casts were superb. Great Work all together.❤

True. It is remarkable in so many Rahman movies - the shehnai in Swades that tugs at your heart, the sarod that comes in Jodha Akbar, the guitar that resonates through so many scenes in Rang de Basanti, the flute in Roja, and so many examples that get music woven as a thread in the story. It needs a combination of a director and a music director to help unfold the story. In Hollywood too, there are so many director-music director pairs that have elevated a movie. For example, the Jurassic Park series by John Williams with Spielberg, the Harry Potter series with John Williams again. Or, Star Wars with John Williams and George Lucas, Titanic by James Horner and Lion King - the classic by Hans Zimmer…
