What I noticed is that the AI on Extreme is bland af. They will literally spam specials instead of delivering amazing stunts and combos like in any other polished fighting game. I go with hard all the time because of that

Out of all the chapters from my experience, Raiden’s chapter was the roughest one to get through plus Sindel’s OP moment. Moral of the story, your choice leads to the outcome of the events that occur.

While the MK3 Section of MK9 is the least Adapted of the 3, I do like the Dark Tone, the Twists, the Characters being almost Good, and the Unpredictability the Ending has, it’s not perfect and the Sindel Massacre was a Mistake, I still Love MK 2011 and is no wonder Fans describe this as the Best Game of the Franchise, plus SonicHasXD reactions are always Great.

I want to make another hot take in this channel. The Sindel Massacre... Could have been better. I think they should have made you play as Sindel to fight all the Kombatants and have you fight nightwolf and rather you win or lose the outcome is the same. Nightwolf and Sindel go down with each other. I think the writers thought to themselves, hey how about we kill off some of the fighters to make a body count of many. And I think Kabal should have said something about Sindel especially when he witnessed the power up Sindel got. And by having the player play as Sindel it would make you feel extra guilty for killing the characters that you worked hard to save all the more tragic. But I still hate the scene. I'm crazy, just not insane.

For me personally the mk3 segment of the story feels like a expansion add on like aftermath for mk11. It all raps up with liu kang defeating shao kahn and then they just add 5 more chapters at the end like aftermath.

The double battle with Mileena and Noob is probably the most devastating in the story mode. To be fair Kabal is broken but chances are you don't know that after just one battle you have with Kano. But in all honesty, every character you do a double battle with is broken af except for maybe Cyber Sub Zero but his double battle with Goro and Kintaro is easier than a lot of single battles. Sonya, Liu Kang and Kabal have moves that are easy to exploit and makes it manageable to defeat two opponents. Just don't get ahead of yourself, you have to anticipate Noob and Mileena's tag combos and their teleport abilities or you will be their lunch.

Now that I realize it, if raiden had just let liu kang fight shao Kahn, or better yet they jumped him, nothing would have changed. Raiden just wanted the elder gods to get involved to defeat shao Kahn when liu kang was already more than capable of beating him by himself. If liu would’ve killed him on the rooftop the invasion would’ve stopped or in the worst case the world would be the exact same as it was in mkx.. full of monsters etc.. so there’s literally no point in stopping liu kang from killing shao kahn

If Raiden let Liu kang fight Shao Kahn, Liu definietly beat his ass. The problem was if he did that the timeline would have remained the same and armageddon would have happened. That means anyone is dead and Shao be the winner like in the beginning of the story.

I have to agree with Quan Chi; the Elder Gods really are toothless. They do nothing even when Shao Kahn is breaking the rules set by them, or even when Shinnok is merging realms specifically to revive the One Being, which would be disastrous for the Elder Gods. That final battle in this game doesn't even count if you ask me, Shao Kahn laughs off a blast from Raiden powered by the Elder Gods themselves, and only goes down after Raiden does all the work.

I'm late because you already beat it. But if you ever replay MK9 in expert, know that the enemy AI is EXTREMELY vulnerable to jump ins, and especially cross ups. You can go up to the opponent and jump over them and punch into combo, if they block the jump in, just jump over them and try again, except for a few exceptions it's borderline cheesy.

Funny thing about Mortal Kombat, when MK 1 and 2 came out i played a lot of that in the arcades, one thing i remember even back them was the difficulty of the boss battles that im going to tell from easiest to the hardest. 5) MK2 Shao Kahn 4) MK1 Goro 3) MK2 Kintaro 2) MK1 Shang Tsung 1) MK1 2v1 fights Its fun to see that MK9 keep that same ranking, the 2v1 fights are way harder than the bosses while Shao Kahn was pathetic, only difference is the added 3v1 which are obviously number one in difficulty.
