question in a meta competitive stand point. Are some of the fights in the anime considered "high level plays"?

I wouldnt follow a card game anime like barely at all for competitive reference. Just for spectacle. Cards show up for advertisement, situations are just made by the writers, and the deck ratios, decisions, and card choices are pretty whack. For example Raika constantly leading with Gust over Tempest. It's only done for showcase moments.

High level plays? No not really, though watching the Willdress players could be informational. For instance, in the next fight, Michiru will end up superior riding Drajeweled Masques on turn 3. This is an intriguing play as it showed off Masques's early game value, being able to not only retire units if the opponent overcommitted, but also gain a critical immediately for pressure unlike OG Drajeweled which only gets a crit if the OPP os G3 or greater. There are also times where the players in this series have major decision chains which they explain, such as Toyha blocking Lenard to prevent Danji from getting the soul he needed for G4 Bruce. So in terms of "high level play", I'd say stick with the irl playerbase, but watching the anime is beneficial as they do touch on a lot of neat decision trees and show off units in particular situations. Nothing that particularly proficient folks couldn't tell ya, but still informative while entertaining you with the narrative. Just my two cents though, great question!
